I know people say Guntersville but I think wheeler is the best section of the Tennessee River

Guntersville is burned out in my opinion, I know that right now on Logan Martin the 5 lb plus spots are chomping and they will be till about March... You'd be crazy not to come down and try! 18.03lbs for 5 in big Coosa spots is what I'm talking about... But I would definitely hit some different water besides Guntersville it's just too beat down

"They get up to 4 or 5 pounds"??? AL DNR shocked up an 11lb spot on the face of Jordan Dam once. My personal best spot from Lake Mitchell is a 7lb 1oz behemoth that came from the overflow on the side of the powerhouse (seen here at 9:47) 22 years ago, on a pearl Sassy Shad. 4 or 5lbers can be expected on every trip. Just ask Cletus!

Thanks Scott Love this kind of video where you have a contest with lots of trash talking among friends but we are also watching different techniques being used. You should try one of the other lakes on the Coosa River or come try a somewhat different fishery over on the Tallapoosa River where we do not have as much vegetation and it present a different type of challenge to be successful.

Mitchell was always my favorite Lake while fishing out of Birmingham. it is like 4 lakes in one. Just a beautiful lake, small but some great fishing. I live up in Chickamauga area now. I hope to get back down to lake Mitchell this coming year. Congratulations on the win!

Best lake in Alabama to do a challenge? Depends on time of year- Mitchell is one of the best along with everything on the Coosa chain. I’d like to see you return to where you won your first tournament- my home waters - the Mobile Delta
Yal ought to tell somebody when yal decide to do the challenges, so some of us ol country boys can get in on the action with yal, and then you might need to bring a bigger wallet if you want to make the pot a lil fatter.

You really need to come to Tennessee and fish center hill lake it’s a really good lake especially during winter for smallmouth and big largemouth

Best smallie fishing around in that chain. Rainy, Namakan, Kabetogema, and Crane. You could spend a month there and never hit the same water.
