Look it up, there's tournaments that were hosted debuting it, think of as a real life "duel gazer". The images only show up if you wear one and they come fully loaded with autonomous interactions and effects with attacks and the like.

My best friend and I had a Yugioh battle just like this with all the famous lines from the show. He somehow managed to pull the "Heart of the Cards" moment and took out my life points directly despite the fact I had an Obelisk the Tormentor on the field.
I love how accurate this is to the anime. They were negating attacks with Mirror Force, summoning monsters in face UP defense position, and playing quick play spells from their hands. Great vid 👍
RinionFilms if that were the case then the card would say negate the attack but it says destroy the monsters when the attack is declared and when an attack is declared, it cannot be stopped
@@impossum7754 it depends on the 2ording of mirror force if it say "if your monster is attacked" or "when your monster is attacked" then the attack will be negqted because the attacking monster only declared the attack and didn't reach dmg step if it say "if/when your monster is destroyed" then the attack goes through

There are two things that would have made this duel phenomenal: 1) Having another soul speak to the Dark Magician player like Atem to Yugi 2) Editing animations of each monster being summoned and attacking into the video like in Duel Links
This was actually very great quality. All the sound effects and voice overs were great. One suggestion is that when Alex drew his last card, maybe it could’ve showed his hand multiple times while drawing similar to the first episode with Yami
Wow, Alex, this was a pretty cool shoot. I've played yugioh alot when I was a teenager. I still know how to play the game. I bet it was fun to do that. I've always dreamt of doing something like that with a friend of mine. Keep up the good work.
You guys were actually decent actors for animation all that was missing where the actual monsters appearing in 3D graphics. Yeah I used to collect the cards back in the day. Hell I still have them. One of my favorite monsters was always the TIME WIZARD...
There is a way technically for duel links, u will need the rotatable phone wristband u can get online and u can turn your phone into a duel links duel disk 😁

Got back into Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time since I was about 10. Delightful. One of those times you are able to remember the exact cadence of the dialogue because you watched it so much as a kid
After a while, you realize they're probably not just holding the duel disks that way to mock the anime, but so the cardboard rectangles don't fall out of the plastic slots
Duel disks actually hold onto the cards fairly decently (my brother had one) although I wouldn't use one unless you had cards you didn't mind getting scuffed a little

The most unbelievable part is that they’re playing by the actual rules (stacked decks and face up defense normal summon aside) unlike in the anime.
Also, they scripted the fight to play out like a season 1 yugi vs kaiba duel
well in the anime they don’t have rules until they go to the big tournament that kaiba holds later... after that they play by the rules.

Got back into Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time since I was about 10. Delightful. One of those times you are able to remember the exact cadence of the dialogue because you watched it so much as a kid
After a while, you realize they're probably not just holding the duel disks that way to mock the anime, but so the cardboard rectangles don't fall out of the plastic slots
Duel disks actually hold onto the cards fairly decently (my brother had one) although I wouldn't use one unless you had cards you didn't mind getting scuffed a little
