Magnificent Century as i viewed it from 1-139 episodes, i saw that the story is about the main characters Sulaiman and Hurrem. Sulaiman's political affairs, war campaigns against infidels, widening territories for the Ottoman Empire, his palace, his harem, and most the love of his life from the day he met her up to the end. It showed that life has ups and downs, so thus this series, though there were some twists from the reality, with the purpose of making the series interesting, exciting, and thrilling. On the same way, it reflected the life of Hurrem Sultana from the very beginning, how she survived from her kidnappers the Tartars and was sold to the Ottoman palace. As she was new to the palace rules found it very hard to follow, undergo humiliation, insults and even harrasment from Sulayman's family and some devoute kalfas, eunuch and concubines to Valide and her immediate family and supporter which include Mahidevran, Hatice, Ibrahim, Gulfem. Envy, anger and jealousy became worst from the first night sleeping with Sulayman she became favourite. Sulaiman fell in love to her, and hurrem as well because it is with Sulaiman she found peace, love, safety and solace. How she attained her goals to rule the world, she became 1st legal wife, the Empres and the Queen of the Sultan. She offered her hand to Valide to accept her, and be fair to her, but in no case Valide give in to her, several attempts made by Mahidevran poisoning her dinner with the Sultan, beating her were horrifying deeds. The attempts of Valide and Ibrahim to murder her, Valide's cause riot in the harem which caused burning harrem. The words of Mahidevran, if Mustafa will enthrone all of them will die. Proven this everytime Sulaiman passed out, there were threats like this. So i cannot blame Hurrem to strengthen herself by gaining Sulaiman's heart freeing her, marrying her, were strength against her enemies. Hurrem revenge were not frontal and without bases, every attempts there were evidences against them. Valide is her worst enemy who continue plotting traps, Ibrahim is her strong support need to be pinned down, so she did by providing the Sultan evidences of his activitis as grand vizier, his allies, his dreams to become on the throne using Mustafa. Just like Mustafa his mistakes, his disobedience are proven and against the Ruler. These are the reasons why she took her revenge, but she cant control her sons Salem and Bayazid because they also have learned greediness for power knowing fratricide law.
