This was a GREAT introduction to Denzel and a GREAT REACTION!! If you want to see REAL DENZEL... You HAVE TO WATCH TRAINING DAY!! Training Day is THE MOST QUINTESSENTIAL "Denzel" MOVIE THAT EVER DENZELED!!!
No struggle love no cheating no messy drama just a portrayal of a strong and loving normal black family unit. Where the woman has her man's back and the man supports his family and a child who loves both his parents. This is the type of black cinema i like to see more of to keep everything in balance. You can have the struggle love movies, the gangsta stuff, the melodrama but you also need a section of films where its normal too. Thats what we not getting.
Yeah I think it’s cool I’m getting request for the classics and stuff but I also like films to emphasize important topics like this movie did. Because I’ve seen people suffer to get healthcare amongst other things in this country. Trust me there were something’s that I had to take out of the edit because I would’ve got strikes for saying them
@@DagiTingz Well from the top of my head there's that will smith film called concussion about a doctor fighting against the nfl who were covering up brain injuries. There are others which i cant think of right now but i guess you will find them when you find them.
Its one of the reasons it burns me up when I see lists of the best black families on television, and never does anyone mention Ben and Jake Sisko from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. A healthy, loving, and supportive relationship from start to finish. Like any sitcom family, we get to see the child grow from a young teen to a proper man, and at no point was there any resentment or drama between him and his father,... in fact, he helped his father find the woman whom he would form a loving bond with and ultimately marry. If ever there is a perfect example of a stable and loving family, its the Sisko's. And we can throw the grandfather in as well, played by the late, great (dare I say iconic) Brock Peters

I would to see you react to the following movies: A Soldier’s Story The Mighty Quinn Glory Mo Better Blues Ricochet Mississippi Masala Malcolm X Virtuosity The Preacher’s Wife Devil In A Blue Dress The Bone Collector He Got Game Training Day Out Of Time The Little Things Fences Antwone Fisher
Easy guide to rotten tomatoes: Critics: High + Audience: Low = pretentious nonsense Critics: Low + Audience: High = everyone loves it except critics Critics: Low + Audience: Low = one of the worst movies ever made Critics: High + Audience: High = one of the best movies ever made Why don't critics like this movie? Two reasons: Critics in general have a bias against action movies. The people in charge don't want the rest of us to get any ideas.
That’s fair cause you’re more exposed and see everything. Me as a patient. I’ve had nurses care for me more than a doctor, every hospital visit and stay I’ve had. I’ve maybe only seen my attending once or twice in a 4 day stay in the hospital. Hence why I say that. Not to give doctors their due. That’s just how I felt. Props to all healthcare professionals though
@@DagiTingz And that's fair too. It's going to depend on your personal experiences and I've definitely worked with nurses I loved the mess out of. And if I'm being honest, probably a little more often than the docs. But you see a few good docs and it'll make a believer. 😎❤️
I feel sorry for For The Family but there's tons of of kids that sick and need the help like that woman said in the beginning. There's plenty of kids that needs new hearts, brains, kidneys, lungs or prosthetic limbs so they can't just Mike in front of these paying parents. Yes was the system is fucked up but there's rules that people have to obey. People with money is the lucky ones and people without money is fucked but John's job than changed him from a full time worker to a part tim work plus changed his health car without letting him fully understand what was going on. Now as far as the wife go, to get help from the government you can't have a job or if you do you can't make over a certain amount. Now to me John and his wife was being selfish, cause they made it seem like their child was better than all the rest of the children that was there. Everybody has problems and every one wants to see their child walk out that hospital door. John such of said that health care such be free for all children. That little girl that died that was next door to Mike, her parents paid for her to get the best and she still died. Now what if he was ok to get the transplant and was put on the list, he still would of had to wait or what if he did get the transplant but would've died days later or while he was on the table than what. You can't blame the doctors, the patients, your job, the white man but the government. The government helping people over seas giving them money food military equipment but ain't doing shit for the people that are American. Health care is savvy more better than it is in the United State and it suppose to be land of the free free for who the immigrants. Black White Whatever we're all fucked....
not only this, but i wonder how many kids who had been on the list for so long for that B+ heart? it's easy to judge a film thats focused in one families extremely unfortunate plight, but as you said, there's thousands of kids who are also on those lists just suffering and waiting. What if another childs death was caused due to the B+ Heart he needed had gone to John's son just because he held up a hospital? is anyone thinking of the missed benefactor of that heart who possibly also only had days to live? i agree with all you've said.
Me again, the ending was a masterpiece. You just don't get it. The story is better then a few of his other movies. This was a true situation from a true man who did this to save his daughter, Sasha
@@roselynholloway7863 I'm not sure that Sasha was his daughter, some people are saying Sasha was the producer or Directors daughter. But there was a case where this movie is based on that a father held a hospital hostage about the same way and it was a media outrage. His daughter was also put on the list and he went to jail, I'm not sure if it got all the way to him going to kill himself but I know he would of for his daughter
I mean beside his amazing acting. Tbh this movie touches on a vital crisis’ going on in America. The fact that money comes over saving a life. We are able to access things like “ weapons and alcohol “ and God know what else. But healthcare is an issue.
Can you explain the 24:15 statement, because it's like you saying as a black man, Eddie Griffin's character can't fathom killing himself to save his own son, but Denzel character is black,🤔🤔🤔 if he was white I might could understand the statement, but maybe I just misunderstood. Now my opinion is it has nothing to do with color, but being a certain type of parent, Denzel's character is the type of parent that is willing to die or kill for his child to live.
There is a stigma in the community where Black people have a hard time conceptually with the idea mental health and or “killing” themselves. So Eddies character couldn’t fathom seeing another black man offing themselves because they believe “killing themselves” is not a solution. Which I believe to be very ignorant because mental health nor those who have contemplated the “s” word. It has nothing to with race. Eddies character didn’t see Denzel’s character doing it for the fact to save his son. He seen it as a black man you shouldn’t be doing this.
Yeah, this film will PISS you off regardless if u have kids or not. Being black or POC, we all can especially understand where Denzel character was coming from. Especially when it comes to families of a certain wage class. The whole system is BS, both on screen and irl. IYKYK. Another passionate and fiery reaction. Hate u had to go thru it, but that's a good movie right there. Can't go wrong with Denzel at all.
It was heartbreaking to see them go through the struggles they did. Like I said in the reaction I rather someone be in debt for the rest of their life then to have them watch their child die because of money. That’s really some bullshit. AHHHH Makes me mad all over again

This movie isn’t based on a real event… it is but nothing like this… a guy brought his son in for an asthma attack and was told he’d have to wait 45 mins cause no one was on call and he pulled out a gun and there was a standoff and the dad was killed
Wassup sweets 💖💖💖 Welcome to the fam. But wait, why did you unlock something in my brain. I feel like I’ve watched that movie before when I was younger but I can’t remember anything about. It sounds really familiar. Imma watch that for sure. Thank you for the suggestion 💖💖✨✨✨
Oooo that’s hard to chose. I haven’t watched a lot of films by these actors so once I do more movies by them over time. We will see what I decide. But LORD CAN DENZEL PORTRAY EMOTION
Yeah I know the government is a problem, but don't put it all on the government. You have young men and women that won't get off their but to work or they want a woman to take care of them or they want a man to take care of them or the government. Everyone needs to take responsibility and accountability. Alot of these young and some older individuals will not start at the bottom they want to start at the top with no degrees/education to back it up
Now this right here is a classic nothing hood nothing toxic just a man who just so happens to black trying to save his son just chose the wrong way to do as all he just was desprite and in the momment, and confused i guess😂. These are the types of movies that deserve all the awards in the land I'm not gonna say Oscar cause that's black folk go to even though they don't want us anyway🙄
You know I don’t think he was confused at all. I think he driven by desperation for sure. After the phone call with his wife. It was like something switched. Him sitting on his sons bed think about what he had to do. He felt like he had no choice. Because like I said he couldn’t bare the thought of losing his son. So he would do whatever it took to save him. Even if that meant giving his own life. I’m not surprised if most parents feel that way about their own.
@@DagiTingz DETERMINATION is the word🙌🏿💯 I just meant confused as in he didn't what his next move was I have this g.n now what, I'm holding up this hospital now what, the popos are outside now what. But the bright side is he didn't hurt anyone he protected the pregnant woman and all he could think of is that little boy🥰💝💓💓💞💕💞 and at the end of day that's all that matters i need to save my child
Ahhhh yeah I see what you mean now. Yeah because in those situations. Not everything is planned out to a tee even the interactions you have with people. He just had a plan and whatever came he had to deal with. Because ain’t no one would’ve though he we get sniped at while having a conversation with his son

@@DagiTingz There's only 3 reactions to this film on yt, with your reaction being the third and all having similar reactions and loving the movie. I don't know anyone who seen it not liking the film or its message.
@@texvor6949 wait what ????? Nah that means this is underrated for a fact. Because I don’t understand why people wouldn’t be attracted to this movie.

Sure I’ll check it out for sure
@@DagiTingz appreciate it so much. It's a great movie and a phenomenal performance by Denzel.
Like I said there will never be a Denzel movie that I will watch that will flop. That man is on the money okay
When I was elementary school I stayed watching this a disrespectful amount of times
I’m not surprised, it’s sucha underrated gem
“I miss grey’s anatomy bro” hahaha 😂
Nah fr though 😩😩😩 Greys Anatomy is only thing that can bring out these tears
Easy guide to rotten tomatoes:
Critics: High + Audience: Low = pretentious nonsense
Critics: Low + Audience: High = everyone loves it except critics
Critics: Low + Audience: Low = one of the worst movies ever made
Critics: High + Audience: High = one of the best movies ever made
Why don't critics like this movie? Two reasons: Critics in general have a bias against action movies. The people in charge don't want the rest of us to get any ideas.
Definitely one of my favorite Denzel Movies🙌🙌🙌🙌
I agree. Ughh this movie puts me in my feelings
"nurses do more than doctors, low key".
That's not a fair generalization, depends on the nurse, depends on the doctor.. as an EMT I've seen both. 🤔
Yo, you are pretty tho!! NGL
I love this movie!
One of my all time favorite movies, next to Antwone Fisher
I’m definitely gonna watch that soon
This is clearly to me top 3 to 5 Denzel movie, and you should check out Samuel L Jackson movie "The Negotiator". If you haven't seen it of course
I haven’t seen that yet. And I’m definitely gonna get to Samuel Jackson too because he’s a goated actor. PERIOD
I just started bingeing greys anatomy! It’s too bad you didn’t film that. Mercy west is a hot mess I know you are hilarious watching it 😭
I love greys anatomy so much. It was a comfort show for me. Literally took me on rollercoaster ride. What season are you on ?
@@DagiTingz it’s definitely a roller coaster!I just started season 6
Ohhhhh Honey you about to see some shitt
@@DagiTingzlol I bet. If they don’t do nothing else they’re going to kill off a major character during a finale
Now as far
as the wife go, to get help from the government you can't have a job or if you do you can't make over a certain amount.
What happened in that case
@@roselynholloway7863 I'm not sure that Sasha was his daughter, some people are saying Sasha was the producer or Directors daughter. But there was a case where this movie is based on that a father held a hospital hostage about the same way and it was a media outrage.
His daughter was also put on the list and he went to jail, I'm not sure if it got all the way to him going to kill himself but I know he would of for his daughter
@@soldiermedic45 ok
Didnt know u just started. Since u a stoner u should check out grandma’s boy, Pineapple Express and Half Baked
Yup top of year. But heck yeah I can’t wait to do my stoner shit for sure. And I’ll check them out
People said the only good thing about this movie was Denzel’s performance
Yes love this movie so much cried 3 times 😂
Chileeee I wanted to but I was so enraged.. I wanted to flip my desk about 10 times 😂😂😂🙃

You know what’s crazy I was having conversation last night and I said I was gonna do this movie. So it’s crazy to wake up and to see this comment. Confirmation I needed. Definitely gonna do it soon. Stay tuned 🔥🔥🔥
This movie isn’t based on a real event… it is but nothing like this… a guy brought his son in for an asthma attack and was told he’d have to wait 45 mins cause no one was on call and he pulled out a gun and there was a standoff and the dad was killed
Not saying it isn’t sad or anything of the dad thought his son was gonna die and was told to wait I would’ve done the same thing
Even if it was a true story. Hollywood likes to spin narratives to make that coin 😂😂😂
Yeah I would’ve as well. It hurts me when children suffer. Like I CAN NOT
Wow
This is so emotional to watch
Took me on a rollercoaster ride
i don't kno why u base anything on what rotten tomatoes say but whatever glad u enjoyed the flick! Definitely one of DW's top roles imo 👍🏿
I held this role against Anne Hesche (the hospital money lady) to her death. Real talk. Low key still hold it against her
Yeaaaaa that means she did her job. She made me hate her so much yooo. So she did a good job
Great reaction plus I’m a new subscriber. If you haven’t watched Antwone Fisher pleaseeee watch it. Love ya girl 💜
@@DagiTingz Yesss I watched it when I was younger and watching it older ( I’m 29) I definitely got a different perspective on it 💜
I definitely have to watch it now. Denzel is in this one and also Derek Luke which is who came to mind when I saw the name
React to Training Day he won the Oscar for his performance as a corrupt cop
I’m definitely gonna watch that for sure
Who u think is the better Actor, Denzel or Will Smith?
Oooo that’s hard to chose. I haven’t watched a lot of films by these actors so once I do more movies by them over time. We will see what I decide. But LORD CAN DENZEL PORTRAY EMOTION
What if this was based on a True Story
That would be crazy. There was something similar that happened in greys anatomy and that shit had me shook
@@DagiTingz 💯💯💯
