The snake might have been a bit afraid of her but clearly it got over it.

As a guitarist of 40+ years Jinjer is one of my top five bands ever on the level of Opeth and animals as leaders. This is pure art that refuses to be bound by contemporary music theory or structure formulas. I actually dont expect the average listener to get it even if they get over the shock factor

Crazy eh? Jinjer is fascinating… Much respect to this band ✊

I'd love to say the shock factor is over, but they continue to do it... Jinjer is everything I could ever ask for in a band. Complexity without being obnoxious or arrogant. Absolutely humble people doing what they love, and giving the world true art

The reason I gravitate towards Jinjer is exactly that they couldn’t care less about my expectations or personal preferences. I know some of the elements which are probably there, but they manage to always throw in something new and exciting. I love that falsetto part - it’s been playing in my head non stop. And the first listening of any Jinjer song has always left me a bit puzzled - subsequent ones are required to fully unpack and make things click in their place. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

This song exhibits a realm of Tati's vocal prowess that I haven't seen before. I mean, I already thought she was stunningly versatile, and she just added to it. She's amazing.

For me, this is the 1st single from the forthcoming album that strongly resonated right off the bat.

The track "Someone's Daughter" is well worth your time. It's also from the upcoming album. Great video too, you get to see the guys as well as Tati.
Regarding your comments at the end: I find some Jinjer tracks very hard to grasp - often it's a lot of work to fit my head round where they are going. They don't care about easy hooks, normal timing, normal chord progressions, standard chord phrasing, instrumental solos or any of the usual musical furniture. It makes it hard to get a grip sometimes. However, many of the tracks I struggled to understand are now my favourites. It's often rewarding and sometimes eye-opening and always refreshing. They are easily my favourite modern band.

Its like being in a race car, trying to go around a circuit for the first time with full speed....you will be thrown of in the Corners...but in a few tries you learn the track and can follow it without being thrown off......does that makes sense..thats how I See Jinjer..some songs I have trouble with,,,but often after a few listens they slowly becomes one of my favorite.

For me, many Jinjer songs are a bit off-putting at first for exactly the reasons you mention, they are all over the place and never what you expect. However, I have yet to find a song from them that after a few listens I didn't absolutely adore once I got the time to process and see what all is going on. The video you mention, I Speak Astronomy, was one of those songs for me, it was a bit overwhelming at first, but I love it now. I suggest just diving in and listening to a lot of their music, it starts to make more sense the more you listen! Of the recent releases I feel like someone's daughter is probably the best to start with, then Kafka, I love Rogue but it was another one of the ones that had to grow on me, although it is entirely heavy, no clean vocals. Older stuff that got me into Jinjer would be Perennial (live at Wacken 2019), judgement and punishment (vocal one take is great), or the teacher teacher official music video.

I love that they are progressive and are not commercial. Junjer is an adventure.

The chord name you are looking for is known as the "Jinjer# add9" chord. This song is beautifull dark heavy AF blessing your soul all at the same time. BRILLIANT!

lol bitten by green serpent in slavic tradition is symbolic of alcoholism and the depths of intoxication/addiction.....as for the song the opeth outro is cool. Middle LOG breakdown is cool. Also kinda sounds like an angular proggy album cut on first listen, but maybe it's just another grower jinjer song.....also tati looks hot here 😂😂

There are many music lovers who find the musical complexity of Jinjer's structures too difficult and who find it hard to headbang ;-) But that's exactly what makes Jinjer so special and I love this band!!!
You need time to understand them, if you don't have that > there are enough other bands for these music lovers to turn to...
thanx for your reaction and lovely greetings from the german musician

My recommendation is Someone's daughter from the new album. Loved it

The lack of flow, as you put it, is what makes Jinjer great. It takes multiple listens to appreciate their songs and the complexity adds depth that is missing from bands that seem more accessible.

Roman has three go-to's he always uses. He always uses arpeggiated chords; he uses augmented power chords for those extra dark crunchies, especially that A5# on that open A string; and he plays a root, octave, and 3rd or minor 3rd instead of normal power chords.
