Flashback Friday: Worlds Most Powerful Solid Rocket Booster Test.

QM2 cold fire rocket test on June 28 2016. This booster was designed and built by orbital ATK Corrine, Utah. 5.5 tons of propellant, 3.6 million pounds of thrust per booster. This will power NASA’s SLS Rocket. The sound this booster makes is pure awesome. I’m thankful I got a chance to see this test.

If you were unaware of that test taking place and from a distance saw the dust plume going up into the sky you might believe you were seeing a volcanic eruption!
