This has nothing to do with “like a surgeon”. It’s simply how to wash your hands as an ordinary person. If this is a demonstration of how she washes her hands before a surgical procedure then she is not a surgeon but a dangerous hack! This is a misleading title
I think this is clickbait on the part of the publication. They did her dirty, no pun intended.
I've been doing this since I was ten and started watching ER
I turn the faucet OFF.
Are you really only supposed to run water on your hands at the beginning and far end or are the people in these vids just pulled away from the water to demonstrate what to do with the scrubbing?
While the faucet is on, omg!
Cyclops Marvel of course, what else do you expect?
mbblmasckrobin you may answer your question dude!
A shitload of water was wasted to make this video.
@@iamdmc she can turn off while applying soap😂😏
A friend who was downsizing gave me a dozen hand towels and a pile of facecloths. I keep one on the vanity and use the "bottom" side to turn off the water after wetting and use the same side again to turn the tap on for rinsing and then off again. I switch it out when it becomes damp. I dry my hands on a different hand towel. I spread my laundry out over a couple of evenings to accommodate the heap of little cloths, but they are so small I don't actually have to do more loads. No need to be wasteful on top of everything else.
Came here to say this. Lol
@@muhammadabdullahqazi7442 How is she going to turn it back on after washing... contaminate her hands when she touches just to wash here hands more?
Keep in mind she is a surgeon. Turning off the water only applies to if you are not operating on someone.
you either omitted or forgot to mention 2 important steps when washing your hands like a 'surgeon'
1. a surgeon washes up to the elbow
2. they must wash for at least 5 minutes
yeah. cause this is for normal people. ill admit this title is quite baity, its just steps to wash your hands regularly. nobody has the patience to wash your hands like a surgeon
curious with number 2... does this means that every procedure they have to stop to wash their hands?
What is the best way to disinfect fruits and vegetables that we buy during this COVID-19 crisis. Is soapy water enough? I have heard that we should purchase the produce that we touch but that being said I am concerned about any germs from any persons handling produce at the grocery store.
I'm not sure, but the best way to keep fruits and veggies from getting contaminated is if EVERY person going out in public were to wear a mask as this contains the virus, especially from the multitudes of people who are both contagious, and not feeling symptoms.
Did the scrubbing under your fingernail requirement go away?
A lot of public washrooms don't have paper towels, just air dryers. You might just have to leave the tap running while you quickly flee the washroom...
Or use elbow or arm
contagious for 27 days without symptoms and you are telling people to self isolate for 14 days DO YOU SEE A MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM HERE?
Its OK, Trudeau is monitoring the situation
Turn the tap off!
What happened to the brush, especially when dealing with nails?
I use brush before Corona .
I’m not a surgeon and my mom taught me to do this since I was born
Oh my God!
At least for 20 seconds, she may have turned off the tab by lower wrist and saved precious water.
Guys. Calm down. While this video is the epitome of nanny state, you underestimate how nasty people can be when it comes to hygiene. Nobody is forcing you to do every step she mentioned at the speed of someone narrating it; a capable person would be able to do this withing thirty seconds. All this video is for is explaining what a surgeon's hand-washing regime looks like; it is up to you what you apply to your life. If you'd like to stick your fingers in your filthy, unswabbed ears, you may. I would agree that some responses to the pandemic have been over blown; but ever since the Spanish Flu overreaction to pandemic has been the modus operandi of governments across the world. Do your share in preventing disease; these sacrifices won't last forever.
thats a waste of water imo, you dont need to do this unless youre going into do do surgery, cbc should be ashamed of themselves
@Wutzmyname Mike They have foot pedals for toilets in Mexico, I've been saying I wish everyone had that, for years now~
NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO TEACH YOU HAW TO WASH YOUR HANDS,BTW WHEN YOU LEAVE THE BATHROOM DON'T USE YOUR BARE HANDS TO OPEN THE DOOR.
Or to close the faucets...
Tell that to your mother...or daycare worker. Actually from watching a bunch of these there does appear to be some style differences.
For real. Use your tongue.
You wasted 10 liters of water while soaping her hand. You almost never used water to rinse your hand. It is not washing hand. Watch Dr. Oz. Rinse your hand thoroughly.
I will teach you something. Maybe you are not a Muslim. But it may be beneficial to follow the rules in Islam. Do not use only napkins after toilet. First wash it with water. Allah created water. Just because you wash it. Use it first. Then set up with a napkin.
But you're wasting so much water!
I just use my elbow to turn the h20💧off while I'm scrubbin! Stay well! 😷
An OCD'er knows this since long.
When will you make the video "How to bill like a surgeon"
That looks like 2 minutes rather than the recommended 20 seconds being touted all over the place. You may be spending an hour or more a day doing this.
@Giovanni Salamon : Yes, with this video, definitely seems to take longer than only 20 seconds, BUT this video is only for illustrating how to do this washing, so it's understandable that the demonstration of this takes longer than 20 seconds. After all, the woman providing this tutorial has to speak to verbally provide the explanation, rather than just doing a SILENT demo. She says 20 seconds, but is providing both verbal instruction, and visual illustration. If she had done this without the verbal explanation, then the quality of instruction wouldn't be anywhere as good as this video provides. So, once you've gone through this tutorial, then you know what to do, how to do it, and you'll be able to simply do it without uttering a single word.
So anti-bacterial soap is no better than any other?
Tammee Rivera anti-bacterial soap has its place in some places. But normal soap is good enough.
20 seconds? What if you scrub your hands like REALLY quickly?
I've read a study were 10 seconds is good enough, although 20 seconds is better. After 30 seconds of washing you hit the peak, no more washing will make a difference.
Hmmm.... so what you’re saying is maybe it’s not such a wonderful idea to get rid of paper towels from washrooms in every store or business, office/workplace, mall, etc to virtue signal about how environmentally conscious you are. This is not new; public health agencies have long advised using paper towels to dry your hands, turn off the faucet and open the door when you’re in a public washroom to practise good hygiene, the problem is there’s never any damn paper towel available. It’s also amusing that people are now realizing that it’s not particularly sanitary and a great way to spread disease and germs allowing customers to bring reusable coffee mugs to coffee shops.
Besides wasting a LOT of water......... :|
Yes -correct and highly recommended!
Except for wasting all... that.... water........ *sigh*
bearsoundz all sink water is recycled 🙄
Better to have a procedure without complication then wasting a little bit more water.
We'd be fined in California for letting the water run that long! Lol... Yup, time to come up with a draught-friendly protocol.
THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO. AND THIS VIDEO IS REALLY HELPFUL FOR US
that running tap is annoying me more than it should be
Total waste of water if your in your home I wouldn't even worry it is out in the public~
I don't think we can avoid ALL bacteria, given the tremendously HUGE number and variety of bacteria in ALL of our environments. And some are not harmful for us at all, while others are. I learned long ago that we naturally have some useful bacteria in us, such as in our stomachs, our digestive system, and that we actually need these. I'd only be concerned about having harmful bacteria.
This video is great.
78 000 people just watched a video on how to wash your hands......lol
Fifty times this amount need to go watch a video on how to properly use a surgical mask now, since this is one of the most effective tools in preventing viral spread. Your turn!
I came here because of Dr.Ben !
Very helpful video. Thank you.
You waste water doctor!
@Jesus Is Lord Every single person has to use water economically and it is not about money.
she forgot to close the faucet while washing
She didn't forget... she will turn it off using a paper towel after she is finished so not to contaminate her hands again. Has to be done after finishing with the paper towel.
I use my elbow or forearm to turn the water off while I'm washing 🧼
Must take care of earth's water!
@@AlexKaboom Let's hope she does, just forgot to mention...?
Stay healthy friend! 😷
Cool! Thanks now I know why peope use soap
Thank you ⭐️
I died watching the water run continuously like that!
She already explained why, when you wash your hands you have to turn on the faucet (obviously) once you turn it on you already contaminated it with the germs you’ve been carrying. So to turn it off as you’re washing your hands would literally ruin all the progress you had of washing it. I hope you understand.
should have used her elbow to turn it off...no excuse
**washes hands afterwards**
And my mom always said don’t use too much soap one drop is enough
When common sense isn't so common. 😒 Smh at humanity.
I think she’s more like teaching a cna on how to pass skill test
The waste of water 🙍🙈😔
Friction and clean running water clean your hands.
She forgot to mention to never kiss people anymore as greeting
I think 99% of the population does not do that
You forgot to wash under the nails, like u have to get the dirt out of it
K rod sent me here
That’s not how you rinse
My hand became dry while watching it
I love long nails, after imagine all the germs and dirt, never wear one anymore
Don't waste water
SAVE WATER
Diosssssss el agua
In the united States she would never be allowed in the ward washing her hands like that she missed a lot of steps
What did she miss?
How to do this in Reserve with no running water??? huh kkkanada????
I think they expect people on reserve to dip their hands in boiling water to disinfect... SMH.....
The municipalities need to lower the price of water to fight against the cover-19 threat, because according to this video, several leters are required to wash your hands just once
I bought a lot of water bottles and tolet paper Cause everything is going out
AlexKaboom I have 25 Rools of Paper towels
Please add: Don't let the water run like that for the whole time. We need to save water too as we wash our hands
Overkill...
It's not neurosis it's good hygiene.... right?
germaphobia the movie
I've lost faith on humanity for a while... and this is one of the reasons.
Time to meet god people
Perfect.... Clean hands and a ton of water wasted 👌🏼 but yayy, at least water scarcity isn't a real problem huh
Lol.
Agree insane amount of water wasted !!! Turn off the faucet smfh
What a waste of water...

How to ruin your hand skin
You guys wasting too much of water ....
She didnt have to leave water running. Real surgeons do that since they cant get contaminated till their elbows
You are wasting water.
👀
NASA solutions coronavirus surviver easy
