Pink, orange, yellow. Those are my favorites. I'm certain the pink copy sounds more whimsical, while the Orange has an air of soothing contentment and the yellow smacks of pure happiness.
Just got my custom tapes from duplication ca.and actually doing a small booklet storyline myself to go with the cassettes and sending them to old friends Upstate NY.Helluva project I tells you what.🗽🤖📼♥️
duplication.ca is the way to go !! I've been ordering my tapes from there and i've never had any problems, customization and variety is on point!! Thanks for the content Mike !!
My living room is also yellow. Nice video, I like this type content from you. Also, big fan of the podcasts, keep those coming. I like the topics on artist development, challenges, growth. Super cool dude.😎
Thanks, Kostanza! I appreciate the feedback. I'm planning to go back in this direction with the vids. They might be less frequent, but I think they will be more fun to make and more on theme. And thanks, re: podcast! Recording a new season this summer! I really enjoy talking about that stuff but never sure if people dig it 🙌
Your video is of interest to me because I'd like to record music and audio from my computer onto Type II (chrome) tapes. I'd like to achieve semi-professional results and approach the quality of the commercially duplicated tapes. I'll record the audio onto the Type II BASF tapes in their original shells and then transfer the spools to various C-0 shells. I've got a question. What would be the most appropriate way to print label designs onto the blank C-0 shells? I would prefer not to use stick-on labels. Can you use something like waterslide decals for label designs with both texts and small graphics?
Thanks, guil! I wasn't thinking to do anything with it but Jason recommended I put it out so I did! Thanks for snagging one, bro! Preorders going out ASAP
Like I said, if only in '93. Just bought a 424 like I had off ebay and it will be here at the end of the month. Pulled out the old mixer and boss dr rhythm with 808. Can't remember where I put all those cables and RCAs. I rthink I have a dual cassette in storage somewhere. My poor wife.
I wore the recording head out on my original. I bought it off a metal guitarist who needed money for, uh, energy. I am now looking for those boxes of "masters" I had. So many long hours in bedrooms, bathrooms and closets recording and learning. I appreciate your channel a ton.
Archive that stuff, make some vids or make a bandcamp. I'm super happy that I've been able to document all this stuff, and help people out in the process. If I can save some people some time, that's what it's all about. I wish I had had vids like these when I was starting out so I started making them! Thanks, Karmic. I appreciate you!
If I send from a mackie fx mixer to a tascam 202mk Vll deck, and then over dub from another deck, each track.. could I achieve something near to a 4trck? Considering my arranger has 8 tracks acomp. Great all of you videos!
Hey I looked into National audio website can I use those cassettes to record on a Tascam 4track cassette recorder?Sorry I spend alot time during the day at work.
Yeah! My pleasure. Love the great white north. They have the best price points and variety that I've seen so far, and you can order whatever amount you want!
What gear do I need to dub cassetes? I have no idea about any of that stuff. Was considering starting a small DIY label to print cassettes/maybe some vinyl, but at the moment I just want to bounce off my 4-track onto cassettes to hand out. Cheers!
You just need a deck that can record to tapes. The more decks you can find, the more that can be chained together. It takes a long time to dub the tapes in real time. There's some units that can do 4 or 8 at a time though
I’ve seen others doing this (making copies off their 4-tracks), and as someone who just put a lot of time and a good amount of money into repairing his Tascam I have to say - you should really think about just getting an interface or some way to get the songs onto your computer or phone and get a tape deck for duplication. These multitrack cassette recorders are all 20+ years old at this point, and parts are getting scarce. And expensive. And they tend to work until they don’t, then the fear of god sets in as you wonder whether you’ll be able to use it ever again. Just go easy on the hours you put on your machine is all I’m saying. Belts are fairly easy and cheap, but motors are nearly impossible to find and can run in the hundreds of dollars when you do. This has been my PSA.
@@godofspacetime333 appreciated. I wouldn’t want to dub direct from my 4-track if possible, I can’t imagine putting that many hours of work onto the tascam just for duplication.
i was expecting that we would get to learn how to actually make blank cassettes... so we wouldnt have to buy them already made... like, i thought u can bulk order tape... and then the plastic enclosures?.. no idea... i want ass loads of type ii tapes to rec. multitracks on... does anyone sell THAT in bulk?
hi use tapeline myself and never use 1 7/8 ips cassette speed 3 3/4 ips is what your deck is tascam 4 track i get hold of the left overs at tapeline alot hit thr floor when they do a run of cassette i am talking to a man who's mate died left alot of cassette making gear i have the cassette slave reel to reel decks i am reworking them to run at 1 7/8 ips to record on the pancakes over night save putting in the cassette all the time nice to see you know what a 0 cassette is i alot don't as you know it's a tape with zero tape in not a poor low cost cassette's keep recording man
📼 Snag the tape I make in this video at becoolcowboy.bandcamp.com 📼
ahhhh. This is just what the doctor ordered. Can't wait to rock this tape.
Thanks, Jason. Thanks for being a part of this one! Mailing out the first of the preorders this weekend!

I don't even have a syn-thesizer
Hahahaha
Love all the tape videos. Such a humble craft
Good times, C K. Thanks for watching! Glad you're digging them 🤓
I have been waiting for this! I have the DIY 4 part series you did. Which was good. This is great!! Thank you!
My pleasure, Blake. Thanks for watching and subscribing. Glad you enjoyed that series!

Oh, that's awesome, Noah. This was a great first experience. Will definitely be recommending them more in the future. Cheers!
Do they also add the audio themselves?
I still have many of my original audio tapes from 1980 yet and they still sound great !!!
I got the transparent turquoise tapes I love em!!21min per side!!♥️🤖📼
I have found your channel a great source of inspiration. I'm in the middle of recording my own tunes on my 414. So far so good! 👍🏻
Rock on! Let me know when you get them up online!
Great advice dude❤
Thanks for finding that site! It will help me out since buying from US sites is getting expensive.
There ya go, Mike! Jason turned me onto that one so you'll have to give him a shout, too!

isn't it better to invest on a better DAC for that? Is the Iphone DAC good?
I have questions about this process. Tab in or tab out what is the difference and where is the cheapest tapes you can get in the USA
sweeeeeet, make a tape of this gig is a top idea. really good looking, can t wait!!!

Whoooooo
Just bought your cassette on bandwagon camp!
Thanks, alan!
A cover has two sides, I enjoy reversing my CD and tape covers if the reverse looks nice
Yeah! That's a good trick
woohoo!
I put a mini vinyl set at end of tape to fill!
Nice! That's a good way to use of the tape!

Hi there, there's a tremolo/pitch on the playback after dubing. Can you explain this?
Might be the heads of whatever it's being played back on? I would try it on a couple different players

As long as you could get them to line up simultaneously I don't see why not if I'm understanding the setup!
@@424Recording or I could record the mix in a tascam dp24 sd with rca cables to a cassette deck?
Does duplication ca have solid colors or is it all random?
All the ones I got were solid
Hey I looked into National audio website can I use those cassettes to record on a Tascam 4track cassette recorder?Sorry I spend alot time during the day at work.
Can I use like type 1?
They're coming out with a new formulation of Type IIs soon. I would wait for those. You can use the Type I but they're not biased for the machine
Next time i will test can you tape the recordlock from the deck down so you don't have to put tape to every cassette
Oh snap, Idk why didn't I think of that?!
Wouldnt it be wise to record from something with a better soundcard, like a audio interface or something? Or is that not too big of a problem?
I've never noticed a downgrade in the sound. The tracks on the phone are WAVs. It's a good point though...
Duplication.ca? Thank you for shopping Canadian. :)

You'll need a stereo 1/8" to RCA cable and you're ready to go!
