I really thankful that this short finally gave us an insight into Millies life with needing to rely on Moxxie and Blitz overshadowing her character. I also like that they finally focus on her character and wholesome relationship with her sister and how Sally May feels about Millie's work life. I really hope we get more Helluva Shorts for characters like Verosika, Wallywackford, Vortex and Bee, Stella and her brother, Barbie Wire etc...
Wait… People disliked the short? Sure it wasn’t a full episode with thrills and bops. But it was short, sweet, and didn’t involve Moxxie taking over the episode. We got to see Millie enjoying time with her sister, bringing up a potential conflict, and resolving it pretty easily because (as I’ve stated before) Millie isn’t a character that needs a lot of development. Yes, some back story would be amazing. But she’s such an incredibly strong character imo and deserves more respect for that ❤️

I thought it was adorable how at the end of the short Moxxie did show up, but recognized that his wife was having a moment with her sister and just snuck past! It was so sweet, and did show that he's able to not just make everything about him!
I loved it so much. It was just light hearted fun and sibling bonding. Felt so nice to get a break from Blitz' and Stolas' situation and mental illnesses
My favorite picture you’ve drawn so far! I loved this episode. Both Sallie and Millie are two of my favorites, and the issue between the sisters really did hit me in a personal spot. It was great seeing more of their interactions ❤️
The amount of joy i had finding out that this short was millie and sally mae centric . I love millie so much now, i had been letting my bias for women who can fight carry my live for the character though so it was nice to see what she had to offer as a character and some insight on both her and sally mae
That short hit so close to home. I struggle with visiting my parents because of the way they treat me but I'm always trying to make time to see my sisters. So hearing what Sally May said to Millie just made me think of my sisters
If you dont want to see your parents than dont I know that sounds bad but it's for you own well being if they weren't kind to you than those things aren't your parents remember your safety comes first 😊

I would love if they released more of these shorts for the B-side characters. It was really good and it doesn't add mandatory unnecessary filler and congest the show. They're optional, add depth and are a delight, adding to the characters.

Omg, that makes so much sense!! I'm so glad the VA for Sally Mae got to write her own story and have it get animated!! Omg, that makes me so happy. I love that Brandon and Viv are essentially encouraging their VAs to come up with plots for the characters they va in the show. And maybe I haven't noticed it happen in the show before, but this is, after all, the first time we've gotten a _completely animated and polished_ short from the HB universe. Seriously amazing.

I like to think growing up Millie and sally may were always close but Millie being the only girl wished for a sister. And the day sally may came out of the closet Millie realised she had a sister all along

Despite what some people may say, I loved this short episode. It gave a nice insight into what Millie’s life is like outside of the business and her family life too. I hope we get more of their relationship in the future! Love the art btw! It always amazes me how well you translate the characters into your style!
I’m honestly so glad to have a short but I’m so glad they didn’t sing I feel it wouldn’t be as cute as them having that silent montage of them shopping.
I really enjoyed the short of Millie and saillie I loved getting to see them hanging out and having sister quality time and I do agree it would’ve been nice too see a song of them singing also amazing drawing !
I think this really worked for Millie, because as I've said before: the biggest problem Millie has is: she's happy and well adjusted. Every other character has massive trauma and when you have Millie competing with them it's the less interesting story beat to focus. And Millie herself is aware of how lucky she is so she often addresses other problems first, and that's probably best for her character because if she tried to focus on her own issues idt people would like her as much. She would probably be considered whiney or even abusive if she stuck to her own issues over the abuse the others faced. Plus at the end of the day her problems can often be solved by talking them out. So short form content where no other plots or miscommunication bs have to be there to pad out run time are probably for the best.
Millie will get more screentime. The show has been focusing on the lore and introducing each villain and piecing together the puzzel. The moments millie, moxxie, and loona had being squeezed into the episodes were good. And of course, the shorts are a thing now. Im guessing the shorts are for characters that dont participate in the lore often. Or arent the main focus. Which is great for characters like Sally.
so it took a woman other than Vivzie writing the episode for it to actually be female-centric? xD I hope she gets the chance to write more episodes and also write for Hazbin Hotel
