I am so positively surprised by the kindness of the Korean people. We have visited Japan and thought they were already helpful and though reserved, friendly. But the Koreans just top that easily.
I figured it out now 😂 in every country you go to, you seem to meet the kindest people. Yes there is nice people everywhere but it’s actually your own kindness and happiness that attracts these lovely souls. It is such a pleasure to view your content ❤
I left Korea last year after living there for 11.5 years and boy are these videos making me miss it! When a Korean person decides to take you under their wing, they will literally walk through a wall for you. And the food is just amazing. In this video you had 삼 (Sam = three) 겹 (Gyeop = layer) 살 (Sal = fat), in other words barbecued pork belly. I strongly recommend you to also try 갈매기살 (pronounced Kal Maygi Sal), it's another barbecue pork meat with much less fat but more tender and less chewy. Another recommendation is a mung bean pancake 빈대떡 (Bean Day Dock), which you can get with some SamGyeopSal bits mixed in (depends on the restaurant). I'd also have heartily recommended 호떡 (Ho Dock) but I see Anna beat me to the punch! Have a great time in Korea, guys. Gangwon-do on the east coast is probably the most picturesque, beautiful mountains, rivers and lakes. If you're in the area, I'd recommend a visit to my friend's microbrewery in the countryside - White Crow Brewing. Delicious beers, tonnes of room to park Trudy and a good time guaranteed. Have fun!
Fantastic. This initial glipse of Korea is everything i hoped it would be. The fact that Anne speaks a little English is a bonus, even better that she is able to teach you both a little Korean. It can only get better from here.
I’ve been living in Jinhae, South Korea for the past 2 1/2 years which is about 45-50 minutes from busan and yeah most people here are super kind and welcoming, also the markets are unreal how big they are and the food is delicious. For anyone visiting nearby busan if you come around mid/end of April they have a big cherry blossom festival in Jinhae, I’d highly recommend going.
I loved Busan!!! We took the bullet train from Seoul and was amazing. I would get up super early when no one was around and just enjoyed the beauty of Korea. They have music and dancing on the beach at night after swimming done for day. I also love how they are conservative when it comes to swimming and covering up. In swimming pools all must wear swimming caps on all times. And of course I love the tradition of taking shoes off and putting on slippers or socks. Clean idea and makes sense. We try to do the same here now.
I'm a local person from Jinhae. Yep, from end of March to 12th of April is the cherry blossom festival season in my hometown. Hope you have a grate time in Jinhae while your stay.

Don’t know if I would come back lol.
@@ardmore37 I am so going back when ever I am blessed to go again. I try countries once but this great country I would do over and over. It’s so affordable as well. And conveniently, they like to speak their mind. So, when they don't like something, they will let you know right away, unlike the Japanese, who are polite to a fault. Koreans are kinda like Polish and Italians. You don't have to go around guessing what Koreans are thinking, lol.

Another cracking adventure! It brings back memories of an entire year in Daegu. Daegu is known for having the most conservative people in Korea, so I found it very difficult to make Korean friends there. Even so, I remember the elderly generation in particular always being very generous and welcoming, and I had lots of disputes with them every time they insisted on giving up their seats for me on the subway trains.
@@user-거니이이이이g No, the situtation was that I was standing on Daegu subway trains with a big bag of grocery shopping. I was always battling to insist that they stay in their seat and that I was fine holding my bag (I just didn't like to put it down on the train floor, as I was fussy about fresh food coming into contact with germs).
What lovely people the Koreans are. They are so proud of their country and are happy to show foreigners what happiness is. I am continually surprised at the lack of crowds. When I was in China, jostling crowds was the norm. Seems that there are more stalls in the market place than people. How do they survive?
The same typhoon has now reached Hong Kong. Great to see your initial Korean experience wasn't just a one off and looking forward to seeing where you get to in the coming weeks.

I live in Daegu. Korea is small, but each region has a different culture. Daegu is a very conservative city, so it is not very friendly to foreigners. But they are not bad people.
Koreans may not say sweet things but they like to show genuine caring by taking an action. You sneeze then they shove medicine to you without smiling because it’s just right to take care of the sick or those in need. Those unfamiliar with Korean culture used to think of my Korean mom as weird or rude. But those who are open and experienced my mom long enough found her to be the sweetest and humble person.

I've lived in Daegu twice. Much friendly people on the west coast. 😆
This truly warms the heart that hospitality still exists in the world.
I lived in Daegu growing up, and it was so loving and friendly. I'm happy you got to experience what it's like there!
I love your video. I miss Korean Joeng so much since I left Korean many years ago and settled in the other side from my motherland. People are nice here too but I cannot feel the same like Korean Joeng.
But those who are open and experienced my mom long enough found her to be the sweetest and humble person.
brilliant video, you do meet some very nice people on your travels. did you get the scammers sorted out
It was a fabulous experience and we are loving Korea and all our new friends !! We have shared and reported - but there are an endless stream of scammers so please do report them if you see them 😉🙏🌷
She is adorable so friendly love anna

The hostel is perfect and at it kept you safe with the bonus of air con and a shower 👌

Cheers for the entertaining video while we ate our Sunday Roast 🫶
Thanks both - I will have that dress for the welcome home party !! 😉🌷
Welcome to Daegu ❤
Usually, foreigners don't come to Daegu, but thank you for coming to Daegu
You stayed in a hostel next to a motorcycle alley. The hostel is a renovated hostel of old hotels and saunas ^^
We had a great time and with the new owner we wish her success in her business and life 🌺🙌🙏
Guys, discovered you 2 weeks ago and started watching you from the preparation of Trudy for your trip. We are binge watching you and you are now 'stuck in Turkey' with local wagon wheels and it's Children's Day.
Feels like we are in a.lockdown with you! Can't wait to catch you up in your trip. We get our motorhome, to be called Benson on 23rd to start our own adventures. Coming to you from a wet and wild Sanday, north isles, Orkney in gale force winds! Keren and Steve, the Wonky Crew
Awesome !! Enjoy the road 😍🚐🙌
Would love to be there.

Thank you 😉
Awesome, fantastic and wonderful ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Thanks 🤗
I totally want the recipe and instructions for those korean 'donuts' please!?! What are they called?
Ho dduk
pumpkin seed Ho Tteok
When you’re looking for a new bungee cord, those helpful and friendly Koreans are of one a cord
Engine sealant is better to seal the roof skylight as it is temperature rated. I used in mine and it's been leaks free for the last 3 years.
Omg you guys came to my city!!! Hope you try famous local food 😊😊 safe trevel❤️❤️
As a korean, I felt Daegu people are more kind than other cities.
The place you went to is Seomun Market near downtown Daegu
3:00 have you concidered getting a tarp or weather cover for the van? It might help in bad weather~
Yes - it is really tricky with storage and weight when living in such a small house on wheels - but thanks for the idea 😉
Hey Tread the globe🎉
