    Star Soldier is cool! The sequel, Super Star Soldier for the TG16 is even better! I am blessed to have both. :)

      That’s super cool! I’ll have to check out Super Star Soldier then and see what it looks like. I’m glad to hear it’s one you enjoy and that you are able to have them both, one day I’ll get into TG16 collecting it seems like a super cool console that I never have played. Thanks so much for watching I appreciate it!

      @@RetrocartCollector You'll love it! The other 2 games in the Soldier series are also both for the TG16: Final Soldier and Soldier Blade (the latter is regarded as being in the top 5 retro shumps). :)

      I’ll have to keep my eye out for those and a good deal on a TG16 then for sure! Thanks so much for that info!

    Careful! Shadowgate is a tough one. Just remember when you freeze the lake with the Ice Crystal, make sure to pick it up right after you grab the key, or else you don't get to pick up the Ice Crystal again

    • @RetrocartCollector
      @RetrocartCollector  6 месяцев назад +2

      Oh wow! Thanks for the tip! Shadowgate is currently in my backlog but that’s something I will store in the memory banks for when I get into it! (Maybe closer to the spooky season) I’ve actually been kind of sidetracked with a hidden gem of an RPG that I’ll be looking at really soon.☺️ Thank you so much for watching!

    yes. paying alot more than the value. that i would imagine would cost 40-55 dollars at any retro store, depending on your ability to haggle. still very much appreciate the videos. very good info and kinda fun

      Absolutely, luckily I’m easily amused and the best part for me is the fun of waiting for it to arrive. 😂 One should be here this week and was slowed down with the holiday mail volumes. I’ve been checking its tracking almost hourly 🤦‍♂️ I’m like a kid waiting for a present. Which for me personally makes the entertainment value of it worth the added cost I’ve seen thus far, but who know that might change in the future. Hopefully the next one doesn’t have a Sesame Street game this time! 🤣 Thank you so much for watching I really appreciate it!

    I was just aware of this service and looking around RUclips this product isnt for me. Mainly because I've seen price return at 50% less. I value your passion for the hobby that you can't put a price on. In fairness from what ive seen price point its like giving lukiegames $40 for a handful of games

    • @RetrocartCollector
      @RetrocartCollector  6 месяцев назад +1

      It is absolutely not for everyone I completely agree. Hopefully it was an entertaining watch for you at least.
      For me it's a little situational too I guess. For example I went game hunting yesterday and between the $30 in fuel to drive the hour there and back to the city, just come back with very little at a fair price (one "tested" game from yesterday doesn't even work🤦‍♂), it kind of made me think about this topic a bit. I don't get to see garage sales in the winter months very often here and FB marketplace listing are normally pillaged before I can get to them after work. The amount of energy and time for me to get out and really hunt, like maybe some others can, in my location and situation kind of lends itself to this and the extra cost might even pay for that fuel I would use to go find that 1 game for less. That's just me for personally tho and my situation is probably very different from a lot out there. Some days I do wish I lived in a better spot for game hunting for sure!
      I really appreciate your comment, thank you so much for watching it means a lot to me.

      @@RetrocartCollector there's always a third option. Not promising but working eBay auctions on lots if persistent you can win some lots. Personally I don't do that anymore because looking at the lots it's just going to create more doubles. But if for whatever reason I decide to collect say gameboy from scratch.... Lots auctions would be my start

    • @RetrocartCollector
      @RetrocartCollector  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@chlamygamine2190 I’ve for sure done the eBay lots adventures in the past. Half of my initial collection was actually from that and most of my 80’s toy collection I rocked that for 😁 (I’ve got about 50 doubles of Battle Beasts in my drawer 🤣) it’s for sure a good way to pick up items.
      It use to be way better before they started that ‘eBay global shipping program’ I picked up a modded GBA off eBay recently and it took a month to get to me 😣 It went from Florida to Kansas with USPS, sat in their eBay shipping hub there 5 days, was relabeled and then USPS again to Toronto, then Canada Post to Calgary, then finally to me. Which honestly wouldn’t have been so bad but then customs wanted $71 on pick up! 🤯 Hahaha it’s rough out there now a days! I remember getting boxes of toys shipped direct for cheap before that program started. Why cant seller just ship it to me eBay?! Someone always wants their cut I guess. 🤣😂 Now I normally just set it up as ‘Canada only’ when I look at listings.

    What if you set up an account with every possible game BUT an extremely rare or expensive one as the only game you don't own? Example: If I put in that for disc based games I only want gamecube but my gamecube collection is only missing pokemon box ruby and sapphire? Will they just not send me any gamecube or will it always be a duplicate?

    • @RetrocartCollector
      @RetrocartCollector  3 месяца назад

      So I can’t speak for Retro Game Treasure obviously, but I do know that Video Games Monthly did work with Drinks and Games with Josh when his collection got to the point his had less cheaper games for them to send. Instead they send fewer games at higher value per game but only to make up the cost of the box.
      I would make the assumption that they would reach out and ask you to select an additional system, but again I can’t speak for them. I don’t think you would get an extremely rare or expensive games out of one of their boxes, even if you tried something like that, but I could be wrong.
