VARIABLE RATE FERTILISER! JOHN DEERE + BOGBALLE SPREADER!

Today was the day I learnt how to spread variable rate fertiliser! With the John Deere operations centre and JD Link it is so easy! Draw the map and send it straight to the machine!

Excellent video Josh! Great to see the technology working to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. Amazing when it works the way it is expected. Funny how the machine can adapt to growing conditions, viscosities, moisture levels, power variability, speed inconsistencies. Human ingenuity to program all those applications. Then the smart tractor asks the human if he remembered to put the ladder up. Enjoyed the video. Well done!

Great video again Josh. I’ve done some variable rate with the sprayer doing liquid fert. Bit of a brain stretcher trying to figure it out but once you’ve done it, it’s great. We had a training day this week at our JD dealer on the basic and advanced gen4 screen and greenstar/autotrac. Was a really informative day and learnt a hell of a lot. Using the screen to its full potential now 👍🏻

Yes it took some figuring out but once I had one field done it was fine! Thats good, I would really like to do a training day with the dealers as I'm sure there is loads more I can get out of the screens!

If you can it would be well worth doing a training day at your local JD dealer. It’s unreal what the starfire system and JD Link can do when fully maximised especially with input costs gone through the roof. Great video as always man 👍

Our dealers actually came in the yard yesterday to introduce our new sales rep and I asked about the training days. They said they would run one in the autumn so I’ll get myself on that! Thanks David!
