    I’m here because I was recently quickly promoted from a 3rd shift staff worker to a facilities manager. My former peers, who I had no previous problems with, have SUDDENLY turned on me! All over a position change .
    I’m trying to stay hopeful

    • @LeadershipwithMike

      Do stay hopeful!
      First, congrats to you! Secondly.. people are crazy… especially as a group. Start learning… keep growing!

      Remind them, and yourself, that just because you're in a new position does not make you a wholly new person. You just have different expectations placed on you. You now have the perspective necessary to have a foot in both worlds. You know of their struggles, and deep down they know this too. Just make it clear to them that while you might be on their side/understand you also have new expectations. Also, never let the power go to your head. Finesse > Force everytime. You're not a ruler, you're a force multiplier.

      What do I do if an employee I have is discouraged about not getting promoted while others are. They are a great worker, our priorities was to promote someone with more availability

    • @LeadershipwithMike
      @LeadershipwithMike  4 года назад +5

      I think you be honest with them. If it’s really their schedule availability then this can be an easy fix for them if they really want it. And if not, they at least know why they’ve been overlooked.

      Short videos that are informative are very helpful to keep people learning something new to become interesting. I just discovered your channel while looking for similar videos but I found them to be boring and way too long and I turned them off. However with your videos I very much enjoy them and now I am on a binge! I like what you did here with having a longer type video broken up into two separate videos! Because that way if others want more information they can continue you on and watch. Please don’t change them 🙌🏼😊
