Same here! Every. Single. Episode. I'm very creative so tend to be senstitive to begin with, and being born again comes with a certain degree of empathy and compassion, but man.... This series exudes so much soul, spirit and godliness that there is no doubt that the Lord is behind it. Jonathan is absolutely spot on as Jesus. Great show all around! We should all pray for the capital C-Church and unity; focus on all that we have in common.
The writers are students of the Holy Bible and led by the Holy Spirit 🙌 The Spirit continues to work in the hearts and minds of those who view The Chosen. Could I be chosen? Would Jesus say to me "Follow Me" ? YES, YES --- Mary is not to be worshipped, only Jesus saves and heals. I used to pray with Johnathan every day when he did live prayer during COVID. I really miss it. At the risk of sounding redundant, it changed my life. It provided me a deeper understanding of other faiths and I’ve fallen in love with all kinds of prayers, chaplets, etc. More importantly, it’s made me want to spend every moment of my day with God. This book has tremendously changed my life and I have grown very much and humility and can completely understand how Mr Jonathan can hold onto this book for dear life. Eternal life that is. I don't see how we can go through life without the virtue of humility. If anyone knows how to contact this author please share. I do believe this virtue should be taught in every home and should be part of every man and woman's prayer life on a daily basis. I started reading the Bible in January and I picture the chosen cast when reading. I love Jonathan's portrayal of Jesus and knowing how devoted he is with his relationship with God... divinely inspired casting.
I really, really appreciate your story Jonathan. The surrendered life is about having that unending dialogue with God all day long. Someone said once, "As I breathe in and I breathe out I am in connection with Jesus.
I strongly feel that THE CHOSEN in which Jonathan portrays Jesus Christ so realistically and wonderfully is being used by God-Jesus and the Holy Spirit as an instrument through Angel Studios and Dallas Jenkins and all others intimately involved in the project to reach out to this very troubled world that we live in. Just watch the news (or perhaps better yet, don't). There's a reason why THE CHOSEN is having such a worldwide impact...and it is NOT just some random fluke. Personally, I have made major changes in my life such as recently becoming born again and striving to be a much better person to everyone in my family and even total strangers. I tell everybody I meet about The Chosen and the response I get has been 99.9%. I can't wait until Feb 2&3 to go see episodes 7&8 in the theaters. I'm on my 4th time rewatching from Season ONE. and each time I hear and notice things I didn't the 1st and 2nd times through. I so hope that this is not a short-lived happening. I love The Chosen so much that I have sent my resume and an avid cover letting expressing my desire and intent to go work for Angel Studios in whatever capacity they deem I am fit for with the skills, attributes and life experience I bring to the table. I’m so happy he recommended the Bible as the first book everyone should read, and I would have loved to order the book he recommended, but it was a little too expensive for me... I’m happy it has helped him in his faith journey though. Yep, truly, keep the blessings of our Lord in a book, in a precious tiny booklet 🙏 I'm working on my third book, the first is my 40 years life testimony, the second is mainly lyrics, whereas I was NOT a musician before but it was one of my numerous dreams 💖 Whaouuuuu, praise the Lord, now I'm writing, singing, AND playing my favourite instrument, the guitar 🥰. And despite that, I still do not have enough words to describe what he does everyday in my life. It's like an explosion of true emotions with my students, my friends, my neighbours, my family at large, and my brothers and sisters of course ! Yet I still have no words ! Even my tears are nearly not enough to express my praise 💎 I wish I could write, speak, sing, shout ALL day your praises and your mercy, and THAT might not even be enough. I used to pray with Johnathan every day when he did live prayer during COVID. I really miss it. At the risk of sounding redundant, it changed my life. It provided me a deeper understanding of other faiths and I’ve fallen in love with all kinds of prayers, chaplets, etc. More importantly, it’s made me want to spend every moment of my day with God. The Chosen has opened my eyes to the MASSIVE love God has for us……me. It’s helped me realize the huge sacrifice Jesus made for me. I’m forever in his debt. I’m humbled and so grateful. Thank you so very much for hosting Mr Roumie on this program. One of my patients has given me one of the books that Jonathan recommended by Mark Mendez. This book has tremendously changed my life and I have grown very much and humility and can completely understand how Mr Jonathan can hold onto this book for dear life. Eternal life that is. I don't see how we can go through life without the virtue of humility. If anyone knows how to contact this author please share. I do believe this virtue should be taught in every home and should be part of every man and woman's prayer life on a daily basis. I have felt God has been calling me to grow more and virtue for a while now and this book definitely put his call to a screaming in my ear. I strongly feel that THE CHOSEN in which Jonathan portrays Jesus Christ so realistically and wonderfully is being used by God-Jesus and the Holy Spirit as an instrument through Angel Studios and Dallas Jenkins and all others intimately involved in the project to reach out to this very troubled world that we live in. Just watch the news (or perhaps better yet, don't). There's a reason why THE CHOSEN is having such a worldwide impact...and it is NOT just some random fluke. Personally, I have made major changes in my life such as recently becoming born again and striving to be a much better person to everyone in my family and even total strangers. I tell everybody I meet about The Chosen and the response I get has been 99.9%. I can't wait until Feb 2&3 to go see episodes 7&8 in the theaters. I'm on my 4th time rewatching from Season ONE. and each time I hear and notice things I didn't the 1st and 2nd times through. I so hope that this is not a short-lived happening. I love The Chosen so much that I have sent my resume and an avid cover letting expressing my desire and intent to go work for Angel Studios in whatever capacity they deem I am fit for with the skills, attributes and life experience I bring to the table. I’m like Katie...I started with Hallow by listening to the Sermon on the Mount, so I was thrilled to join the 30 day Gospel readings with Jonathon... I really enjoyed your interview with him and, I agree with some of the other comments, his humility and faith are so lovely to see... I’m so happy he recommended the Bible as the first book everyone should read, and I would have loved to order the book he recommended, but it was a little too expensive for me... I’m happy it has helped him in his faith journey though. I also agree with Katie about listening to the Bible during your day because God will illuminate what He wants you to hear, just like He does as we read His Word daily.... thanks so much for sharing such a wonderful interview with Jonathon... Yep, truly, keep the blessings of our Lord in a book, in a precious tiny booklet 🙏 I'm working on my third book, the first is my 40 years life testimony, the second is mainly lyrics, whereas I was NOT a musician before but it was one of my numerous dreams 💖 Whaouuuuu, praise the Lord, now I'm writing, singing, AND playing my favourite instrument, the guitar 🥰. And despite that, I still do not have enough words to describe what he does everyday in my life. It's like an explosion of true emotions with my students, my friends, my neighbours, my family at large, and my brothers and sisters of course ! Yet I still have no words ! Even my tears are nearly not enough to express my praise 💎 I wish I could write, speak, sing, shout ALL day your praises and your mercy, and THAT might not even be enough. I'm a great fan of The Chosen bc I see God at work through it and I known it has blown up bc of the Holy Spirit. But folks please let's keep in mind these are actors, human and flawed as we all are. Let's not slip into idolizing those playing the Biblical characters. So let's pray that the Holy Spirit keep everyone, involved in the creation and carrying out of the series, humble and for anyone that doesn't know Christ, this series draw them to the Lord.
