I watched a Jayco assy video right before this. What a difference! Jayco was bragging about turning out 30 trailers a day for one specific model. Their employees were literally running around slapping stuff together! Good to see some companies still focus on quality instead of volume
A very beautiful rig! One question - why isn't there any sealant BETWEEN the two pieces before they are riveted? Also, I noticed that there wasn't any type of vapor barrier over the insulation. Wouldn't condensation be an issue? In any case, I'll still take one if you gave it to me (plus a truck to tow it)!
John Punt they fit the floor inside the 2nd interior frame so it’s impossible for water from outside to touch it, no chance of rot if water can’t touch it.
ValeaBarcaului bruh plywood is the only thing that can put up enough resistance to bending and is only thing that can secure the appliances to the floor.

i love things that are hand made :) so much more love involved :) thumbs up if you agree!!
I agree
It's time Airstream used all aluminum subfloor like Livin Lite trailers!
Taka Yama no that would make it a lot more expensive for everyone
they recently switched to an all composite floor. No more rot.

sellC1964 these guys aren't meant for 4 season living... stay out of the cold climates.
My dream home!
Confused why they wouldn't lay the entire flooring material down before dropping the body onto the frame?
It increases the likelihood of a leak or floor draft is my guess.

If Airstream built their trailers like Avion used to build them then the price could be justified.
Really? If they were "all that" they'd give us a better factory warranty .... they're made to last.... until the warranty is up ... 1 year.
Jeffrey Engle if it were made wrong you would know in the first year. If you don’t need warranty for it the thing will last a lifetime
It’s a three year warranty...
my airstream is 50 years old and still going strong
Why is flooring being put in after. Makes no sense
