- Here is another hard off for you guys, hope you enjoy it. Thanks for all the support and this is just a little way to give back. This time its a little bit longer than usual hard off....lol, that just sounds wrong.
The Laserdisc section is amazing! Whenever I go to Japan, I must go to Hard Off.
games, computers, guitars. Man.. I would give my right hand, just to be in Hard off for ten minutes.. Luke is a lucky dude
Thank you for giving us some time in Hard Off again, it makes my day to see that place. That yellow gameboy was awesome! And the N64 wheel brought back crazy memories, it was meant to me placed on the coffee table. The prices there just make me cry, not to mention the shelves of Famicom games, they are hard to find in Texas.
Thank you again, and keep up the great videos.
I know I've said it before on one of your older Hard Off videos but they always put me in a good mood :) Thanks for keeping them coming!
Gotta love the music. :) It never seems to change. Ever.
Excellent video Luke, been looking forward to new Hard Off vids. Looks like they have tidied the place up, everything was quite neatly shelved.
Awesome! Your such a dedicated man! This would be on the top of the list if I ever manage to visit Tokyo.
Fantastic video, man! This Hard Off store seems to be a lot more organized & cleaner than previous ones (:
That is one AMAZING store!!! Makes me want to go to Japan even more!!!
Awesome man! Thanks for keeping the hardoff saga alive. Great to see that prices are back down.
I appreciate your effort in cycling all that way and exposing yourself to that damn catchy Hard Off music again!
I just love watching these. If we had one here i'd be there everyday. lol
Luke thank you for takeing the time out of your day to make this video.I really enjoyed this thank you very much good sir.
Take care man.
That music! lol, do they ever change it? It must drive their employees nuts!
I think I spied a flight stick for the Sega Saturn on the top shelf just across from the weird N64 wheel. Those things are really hard to find here in the UK!
I think all my wages would be spent in Hard Off if I lived in Japan! XD
really appreciate you riding all the way down to hard-off, great job!
dedicated hard-offer, making the trek on the bike! always enjoy these wishing we had them in the states! lol
Definitely some good prices there today! Your subscribers are drooling once again.
Cheers, Luke!
dude you are the real deal....i collect video games myself but wow u have a nice collection im definatley subbing!!!
Another great vid Luke =). I watched a lot of these videos and I actually hum the Hard Off jingle!
Lmaoooo "pick up a dozen of those" Awesome Luke!!
HARD OFF, YES! I LOVE HARD OFF VIDEOS!!! YOU THE MAN LUKE!
Sorry got over excited seeing this in my inbox.
That Hard-Off music is catchy as hell.
Great to see you back at Hard Off! Feel as if I was actually there many times ;)
this is quite possibly the coolest store i have ever seen
man wish I could go to Japan one time an load up with a bunch of the cool stuff from these stores to bring back with me for my collection :D
amazing store! Japan rox!! in Poland where I live there aren't many retro game stores only mostly new games and stuff, but we have online auctions at least
We don't have any stores like this in the US. I'd definitely go to one if I lived in Japan.
US is already a lot better than other countries... consider yourself lucky living there.
Thanks for the Hard Off video, I'm not as hard up for Hard Off as some people but I like them just the same. Up hill on a bike, murder on the calves. You should get some more Famicoms and then you could build a fort out of them. I bet it was you, prices went down when you didn't go, coincidence I think not ^_^.
I'm always catching some crazy item just out of reach of your camera ..... love the HO videos man keep them coming
Pachislos right in the shop and for $50 no less? Crazy stuff ^_^
Seems their selection has shrunk a bit. Awesome video though as ever man!
Thanks for the hard off videos.. Keep them coming man
If I came within a square mile of this store, my money would mysteriously vanish from my pocket.
Thanks again for the great video, Luke. =)
Sweet! Thanks for sharing Luke
Another awesome Hard Off vid Luke :)
I love seein the inside of this place, it warms my heart :D
Dan.
You have the greatest videos, it's great that you biked there :)
@sonicdremgenesis The problem is Book Off in Manhattan focuses mostly on...books...sure, they have games and a couple of systems, but it pales in comparison to Hard Off. Hard Off in Japan makes Goodwill and Salvation Army look like the Apple Store (in terms of variety).
A store like that one wouldn't be possible in any American big city, seriously, thieves would keep shoplifting absolutely everything like if it were the end of the world.
Dochirin look at 2nd and charles
Everything looks so clean over there!
The music in the store makes me think of the music that plays in Shenmue's stores.
wish we had a place like this in Canada all kinds of exelent goodies there (could use some of those sticks of ram to get some life back into some old gear (old PC games just don't seem rite on emulaters or newer gear)
Ira Tails in the USA
we have a chain of stores called 2nd & Charles.
Love those announcements in the background. xD
We actually have a store kind of like hardoff in USA. I think it's a chain. There is even one in my medium sized Texas town. It's called GameXchange.
It doesnt have the sheer amount of stuff that hard off's does, but it does have a surprising ton of used old systems and games. All the way back to the NES at least. It's pretty cool, If you want to pick up a SNES or something they're you're place.
Actually I just looked at their website and they claim to have "over 50 locations". They are cool.
Great deals! Thanks for sharing.
lol...I never noticed the stickers on the shelves that say JUNK....JUNK MY ASS! ^_^
love those play it loud Gameboys...they just pop out when you look at them. I would get in so much trouble in that store...lol
Luke-sanが行くHard Offはすばらしい品揃えですね!Junkコーナーも!
私の家の近くのHard Offはとても小さいので、商品もとても少ないです、、、
すばらしいビデオをThanks !
The Justifier was from Lethal Enforcers which was one of the games that started the rating system over here.
every time I hear the Hard Off song it gets stuck in my head for like 3 hours and I want to find it on an mp3 now. Also whenever I see a Super Famicom ,Famicom or FDS it makes me want to try and get one off of Amazon if I can find one cheap. Ever since I saw your collection vids it made me want to get one.
later bro
Good ol' hardoff!! Awesome video Luke! Wow..2 hrs ride? But it's a great workout nonetheless =)
Loving the music they play lol nice vid.
awesomeeeee. good to see ya back there man. i wanna go there like crazy and get some japanese super famicom tastyness
Kaiji Pachinko is epic!!
Oooh! I never knew Hard-Off had this much stuff! BRB, going to Hard-Off :P
Holy SHIT, a Seaman VMU! How could you just pick past that? It's valuable!
EVA. LASERDISC. 2:15.
I have been trying to get a copy of that for forever.
hardoff is a gamers paradise!!
Thanks Luke for going out of the way to make this video.. 2 hours is a long bike ride! Like always I love the hard Off Vids
this is like some kind of giant cash genorator
I cant believe you arent picking up all the pokemon N64s, the blue/white N64 system, some super famicoms, etc.. I would be going crazy and buying everything!
Nice video . Alot of stuff . My neice would love the pikachu n64 and yellow gameboy
i would love a place near me that would sell computer arts like this.
id be so broke if i lived around one of those stores!!!
If only we had this in here... :(
wish we had something like that here in CANADA.....
I really enjoy your videos please keep it up.
I'd love one of those super famicoms at that price, eBay sellers massively inflate it though. Awesome store, Luke.
DUDE!!!! A famicom for $3.00???! LOOK AT ALL THOSE FAMICOM DISK SYSTEMS ONE THOSE WOULD PROBABLY COST ME A FORTUNE HERE IN TEXAS!!!
Luke, I am completely jealous of you dude.
Oh man, I wish I could get my hands on a Famicom for just $4... I paid $58 for mine. Mine's complete in box though. :)
Oh man! I would kill for that Kaiji slot machine! D:
believe or not i been to a hard off in the u.s (NYC) , yes actual been to one, but the thing is it was called book off, IT had everything there that hard off had, faimcom, super famicom, Japanese ps2,ps1, psp, wii , GBC GG wonder swan, system's and games. And they did had a lot of other stuff there (moslty books and instruments) but it was pretty call going there. if the u.s and and REALLY REALLY want to go to hard off, if your in NYC, just stop by a store called book off.
I just spent over 13 minutes watching Luke do some hard offin...........AWSOME!
@Cryengine And the final part of my post, for prices I think a used SNES or Genesis is like 40 or 50, games are a little high, it depends on popularity, something like Streetfighter hyper fighting for SNES thats extremely popular is probably like 12 or 17 if I recall correctly. Unpopular games less of course. They also have cool used controllers and peripherals of course.
They also carry those new made SNES/NES combo systems and stuff that are legal now cause the patents ran out. Cool also.
I actually have quite a collection of light guns now, but I still wouldn't mind getting another GunCon 1 so I can play 2 player Point Blank.
hey dude, I really appreciate making us a hardoff video, it really makes me happy!
awesome! hard off, so many famicom games
I love the music!
I think the game you were thinking of Luke was Lethal Enforcers? Anyway awesome video it's nice to see a Hard Off update! That N64 steering wheel looked so whacky, please do a video sometime on it with an n64 racer to show us how it works!
Is this the HardOff in Shinagawa? I'm going to Tokyo in October, and I've never been to a HardOff. I'd like to check one out. Thanks!
The Justifier was used for Konami's Lethal Enforcers, as far as I know.
this place is like the mecca of awesome!
Alriiiiiight... Luke here! ;)
Seeing so many GunCons in one store is like torture >_
I wish i could go into that place, I would be buying so many games OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *cries* Maannnnnnnn!
@Cryengine Actually to continue my post, according to their website they have stores so far in Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
But like I said they are kind of a mini hard-offs right here in the USA. I love em, even though honestly I guess I dont actually go there much LOL. I'm sure you can get all that stuff on ebay, but a local store is much nicer.
ITS THE PARADISE! ♥
Hard off videos rule. Thanks Luke.
It seems I have watched your videos for years now, and still the same song at hard off!
Japan should export all retro games to the world. So many people's dying to get them even they're used while Japanese tired of and sell them.
I think the game for the gun was lethal enforcered, and you could always grab a back for that yellow gameboy off ebay for a doller
@MakoYoushida i could never find that keyboard controller at any stores when i was playing PSO
damb the same song in the backround even 1 year later
OMG! I want to buy everything!!! lol
Oh wow, was that a gamecube keyboard controller in the last couple of seconds? Remind me of the days I spent playing PSO on there XD
I want that Hokuto no Ken pachi machine!!!
did someone beat me to the hard-on jokes.... dammit!!!
I was wondering where the Hard Off theme song was and then you stepped into the guitar section. Looks like they've replenished their stock since you were there last time, and lol at them lowering their prices since you haven't been buying stacks of stuff.
hey luke i live in newyork and theres a book-off here what kind of stuff do they have other than books if you know . The hard off videos are always fun to watch.
You work had for your hobby; 2 hours bike ride in the rain. That looks like an awesome store and the prices seem to be really good. I'm sure you spend hours in there scouring the shelves for bargains. Do you know any good Japanese eBay sites that sell this stuff at reasonable prices?
Can u try getting and reviewing the palcom (laserdisc) msx system? There is both the pioneer px-7 and the px-v60.
$3 famicoms....Crazy. Riding a bike for 2 hours and it rains? you mad man. Hope you bought a big back pack for the stuff you picked up.
you are 3 years overdue from a new hardoff vid luke
Another great video if only there was a hard off in the UK. We have to make do with a bloody Sunday car boot sale.
