    Hi! Is there a difference in the roughness of the two flat sides? One side has the "Felco 903" logo and the other is blank. Thank you.

      No difference it's completely coated on all sides. Use any edge, I like to use the small edge for providing increased pressure when I cut wire by accident...

    How can I determine a 23 degree angle

      Grinding from the other side is much easier and more precise.
      If you paint the cutting edge beforehand with a marker pen, you can see where you are grinding.

      It's the angle of the bevel already there...just match it.

      Yes, you're right Liz - how can I be sure I'm not at 22 degrees, let alone 24 degrees. It's so stressful. Its would be much simpler to tell people to hold the sharpening stone at the same angle of the original sharp edge. You can tell when you're right, the new bright metal is uniform across the bevel.

      @@mikeprice4807 there won't be much difference if you get a 22° or 24° angle as long as you try to keep the same edge angle along the blade.
