While I’ve never actually played a Bubble Bobble game before, this looks like it could be a good start for me. It seems delightful and fun for when you want something a bit shorter. I’ll be keeping an eye on this. Thanks for the review.

Couple months back, I finally picked up an N64 and an old puzzle bubble game. My stepsister (17) was horrified by the "awful" graphics. I laughed my ass off at her trying to "fix" the colors by messing with the TV settings.
My first puzzle bobble game was bust a move 4 for the playstation. I just bought this today because I love the characters, I hope all the characters from bust a move 4 are in this ^_^
I want to play it but I feel like the online will be empty a few days after release. The marketing hasn't been very good and judging by RUclips, not a lot of people are talking about it.
The only thing I don't like about this game is the characters in game animation, it's more suitable for a mobile game, I would have prefered a pixelart style, a handmade animation or cellshading 3D models.
I'm 45 years old I've been playing since the very first game and I really like this version but admittedly I'm not mad on playing against CPU opponents as IMHO they can be rather cheap or annoying at times.
@@IDreamofIndie Definitely AA ( or an ordinary commercial release ) rather than niche or Indie. There have been so many versions on nearly every format and even some good homebrews like on the Amstrad CPC
I’ve loved this franchise ever since I was on holiday on the Norfolk Broads in 2002 and came across a puzzle bobble 2 cabinet in the boatyard bar. Needless to say it ate a lot of ten pences over the holiday and within a couple of years I got it in my then shiny new PSP so yeah. I am *stoked* for this Bubble Bobble 4 was amazing too recently 🫶

Ha! I repurchased an N64 for just Goldeneye and Bust-A-Move. So yeah. OG puzzle bobble / bust a move people are all over this.

Bust-A-Move '99 on the N64 was also 4 Player. As far as I remember.
And one of the Wii games was 8 players believe it or not! However this is the first 4 player story/ co-op in the series as far as I know!

Excited to receive my physical copy today. For some reason it’s quite hard to get ahold of it in Canada.

the space invaders cross over is pretty much pop n pop, which also stars bob.
It's neat!
Puzzle Bobble isn't Indie. It's had countless commercial releases across loads of formats. It's a good game though
We tend to also cover things that are more of a niche or in that AA range these days on the channel as well!

Funny thing is, These graphics are from the mobile game, its called bub's puzzle blast. I find the art style cute though.
