A lot of good software only runs on Windows. I'd switch to Linux tomorrow but the reality is a lot of software on Linux is crap. A good OS is useless if it can't run the software I need. And Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC is actually good once you install a firewall, kill the telemetry and make sure Edge can't run.
