You don’t really have to worry much about paint being left in the rail, when you turn the marker off it reverses the loader assembly pulling those leftover balls into the stock. That should have been mentioned at the end. Absolutely love my OG Dfender! Will now refer to them as the Longbois
Little surprised they didn't just give a full update to this marker. Allow PWR insert capabilities, perhaps rechargeable battery upgrade, slightly enlarged hopper capacity. Not like it will sell any more than it did the first time around, but 6" freak backs haven't been a thing for YEARS now
A few years ago in Chicago I saw a guy dual-wielding Defenders in rec game and he was DESTROYING people! Obviously it was the player and not the guns but I always think of that when I see these.
@@fifabeatle3139 the gun is 10 year old and has a lot of firing and feeding issues lol cleaning it is a pain and it's expensive for a gun that barely has spare parts available
Wrong.. the loading system is based off of the AGD Warp Feed concept married to the concept of the Halo hopper.. and a backspin system was first introduced into paintball in 1998 by Tippmann...both of which predate "hop up" in airsoft by YEARS. Do some readership before making a statement, you'll look a lot less dumb.

@@ironfan998 Are you asking about Velocity? All Paintball Markers are supposed to be set to whatever the field limits are or below. That's typically around 275-280fps (feet per second). Now if you're taking ROF (Rate Of Fire), in Paintball called BPS (Balls Per Second), then it's likely around 10BPS on burst or Full Auto. I hope this helps.
@glenj.taylor2938 well kind of, the paint ball marker I have now can shoot around 350fps when it's maxed out and around 12 bps, wondering if this one is about the same or better. And of course I turn it down on the field with other players
Anything akin to marker such as this (tactical) is almost always hard to use and/or mount stuff with. Cool concept but practicality of it falls short once you see someone play with it.
This has been a recurring issue since the first days of back-bottle mounts on pumps. People take for granted the easy sighting that bottom line ASAs provide. This will need a riser & practice to get really accurate shouldered snap shots. No biggie.
It just takes practice - I have used a defender a lot. I say it's kind of like throwing a side arm baseball - feels weird at first but you can be really accurate with enough practice
@@559paul The Barrel is of sorts but the feed system from the loader in the butt-stock to the breech has zero intended effect on the rotation of the balls.

Can u guys do a comparison video showcasing the differences between the old gen and the new gen ?
I just received mine today! So excited.
those barrels are fun gimmicks
Love my original D*Fender, so much fun to use.
Shame you didn’t take a few minutes out of your day to show how easy it is to strip down
This is a pretty cool gun , not sure if I'd pick one up over used DSR+ , 180 or shocker but definitely a unique gun
Personally, I much prefer the longer front of the base defender
Very cool. Wish the tank slot was in the stock as well
I think I might get one for fire suppression
I wish they would make a Magfed TM7
I made a magfed tm15

Cool concept
Yey new version of d*fender :D Maybe now the former will become cheap enough that I won't have to starve for 3 months after purchase xD
still have my dfender 😁
I wish you did this with the one from last year -_- I would have bought this one lol I regret buying the one last year.
Why's that?

Can this use nylon or pepperballs?
How is the Elite different from the old BT?
How long is the marker
Took inspiration from Magpul with that sling mount and vert grip. Also bringing hop-up in from airsoft
I'll honestly bet that spinning paintballs likely predated airsoft by a decade or two.

damn they really dont make too much advancements in paintball do they haha, shits like 15 years old already
What’s the difference between the elite and the older version?
Front shroud is removed so overall it's shorter, maybe ~6" shorter? Idk

Whats the fps look like on one of these? Looking for a new PB gun to replace my old one.

The main issue I see with the D*Fender is that the stock is wide and would make it hard to shoulder and aim while wearing a mask.
yeah I had two of the older non-elites. They are tough to look down barrel with a mask on, almost impossible.

They had a chance to make a new magfed defender or something and they just remade this... Didn't even update the barrel kit... Apex is gimmicky af...
