This week we take a look at AFRO MUSIC FOR THE FIRST TIME, starting with Eugy & Mr Eazi - Dance For Me, followed by the incredibly talented and experimental performance by Ejigayehu Shibabaw. We then listened to Fally Ipupa - Un coup feat. Dadju and their whole relaxed vibes were immaculate. We traveled back in time with Burna Boy and his hit track " Like to Party".
C4 Pedro brought some really great Kizomba vibes with his song "Vamos Ficar Por Aqui" and to finish this party up Diamond Platnumz Ft Koffi Olomide left us in such a high with "Waah!" ✨

The second song (by GiGi) is about the war of Adwa where italy tried to colonize Ethiopia but lost, so her song is an hommage for the warriors who fought to keep Ethiopia free. And because this war represents so much for Africa, you'll hear instruments from other african countries as well and not only ethiopian ones. And she's singing in "amharic" the official language of Ethiopia. There is a lot of emotions in the song as she describes how much the warriors suffered to keep the nation free. It's a mix of a war chant, hommage to the warriors, and the sacrifice it takes to be free. I hope this helps :p

Just to clarify something, Angola used to be one of Portugal's colonies (the reason why they also speak Portuguese). Also, Angolan Kizomba is a quite famous genre in Portugal. I would recommend you listen to Portuguese spoken songs (Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique etc).
