performance elite suspension uses fit4 damper.. same as the factory series forks. it just doesn't have kashima coating. not the grip4 damper in the lower end performance line. great suspension on this bike

Hi Guys, please check this but I think you got it wrong with the fork. I think this bike has the same dampers as the factory fork but just doesn't have the kashima coating. Basically I think this is an oem fox fork for scott. They did that last year on this model.
Would explain why you didn't notice a difference with the dampening?

this is exactly correct, the factory just has the cash money coat but the internals are all the same
