I had this in confession with the priest. Now I understand that anyone can be tempted and notice attractive women. It's only when we consent to our imagination in these matters do we sin. Most women, particularly younger women today, have no charity and flaunt sexuality. Keep custody of your own eyes and it will help a lot. Prayer to the blessed virgin has helped me.
This priest is serious about saving souls. I’m so blessed to receive this guidance from a good father. Lord help me to practice the virtues recommended to resist temptation and conquer sin. Lord have mercy on me.
P.S. Remember also to take advantage of St.Benedict and St.Benedict's Medal. There's a special blessing in the Church's Blessings book (for Sacramentals) for St. Benedict's medal. Go to the Priest and "get 'er done!". Hang that medal on your person, in your car, in every place where you want serious protection against Satan. Become familiar with this Catholic tradition. There are many letters on both sides of St.Benedict's medal, all in Latin (easily translated on the Internet). My favourite is: "Drink your own poison, Satan!".

Taking my "cue" from St.Maximillian (.. and ALL the great Saints, St.Alphonsus Liguori, St.Louis de Montfort .. ) I would add another "cue" for IMMEDIATELY HITTING BACK at any and all of Satan's temptations against purity, which is: Mary's favourite prayer (from us her children): "O Mary, CONCEIVED WITHOUT SIN, pray for us WHO HAVE RECOURSE TO THEE". I would repeat that invocation on my Rosary beads until the temptation flees.

I don't think it's a sin to acknowledge or notice a person who we find attractive or beautiful, we'd all have to walk around looking at the ground. Much of the reason people "check" each other out has its roots in choosing an attractive mate, procreation.
