He specifically talks about his transition from WWE to making Hollywood films like Bumblebee, Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, Daddy’s Home and Trainwreck.

He apologized and explained why he was wrong without justifying his previous thought pattern. THAT is how you do it.
There is nothing wrong with explaining the why.
You can do that without justifying your behaviour. To explain your thought process and why it was wrong.
Yes. If you were wrong, you were wrong, so many people apologize, but still go on defending their previous actions. It's like saying that I was wrong, but actually wasn't.
@@VarnoSlimm I think when people do that, it’s just to stress the point that the previous thought process wasn’t out of malice. For instance, though Cena was wrong in the past, it makes sense for why he thought that way - he just didn’t have all the necessary information to have an informed opinion.
I think he did justify his previous thought pattern which is to explain why he was wrong and what he was thinking at the time without all the information he now has. If that makes any sense
Understanding why is part of the apology
You know I really appreciate you uploading this short. I have to say what John Cena explained here is beautiful. Seriously.
