ESIO Trot but i think some UV light would still pass through the clouds, while the northern hemisphere is fully dark for 6 months, i guess they should alternate between southern and northern hemispheres so that its always dark for them
It's pretty damn beautiful, too. I took a trip to Juneau and Sitka and it looks way more breathtaking than most places I've seen.

well It did help, I'm pretty sure the majority of parents without this knowledge would be like "I must restrict my children from sun! the sun burns them!" instead of investigating the causes like light bulbs and such.
With this knowledge they can conclude the best treatment for their disease and give them more freedom to do stuff knowing well that it wont harm them.
I've concluded that SPF -50 will suffice quite well good sir..

I can somewhat relate... I got vertigo really bad this year for the first time. And the sub triggers it. I have to wear these special shades and a hat on sunny days. Or I'll get super dizzy I'll passed out... Really sucks cause I loved the sun.

I am so glad that there are so many scientific advancements that allow us to reach beyond anything we could have imagined years ago. These guys are amazing, and I hope they continue to do well :)

Honestly full respect for those men and their family. If that was me I would have become the living embodiment of a vampire. Not to poke fun or anything but I’d go to night schools, work night jobs, go out all night and sleep most of the day away. I probably would have moved to a place that was less sunny tho.

Effects them too. My student had this; we had to change the lights and put on filters on the Windows. We also carried a UVA and UVB meter so we can read the levels in certain areas indoors and stop her from entering these areas without her covers.

Hold up they said they had to change the bulbs to a special kind to protect them in there house but when they went to the restaurant and sat down they took there helmets off but the bulbs in the restaurant we can assume are the bad kind for them so how are they able to eat in restaurants without the special bulbs and windows coverings doing something to there body?

I think i might have the answer to your question. We don't know for sure what type of light the restaurant was using, but the light did have a yellow glow, which means it is most likely an Incandescent light bulb (the most commonly used type of light bulb). In the video they say the twins are allergic UV light. The light coming from the Incandescent light bulb is infrared light, which means it won't harm their skin.
They asked what kind of light bulbs they used.

I fell sorry for those who can't afford clincal help for their condition and instruments to mamage to atleast get out even under the sun.
They would pretty much have to live their entire life hidden in the dark from sunrise to dark, without possibility of going to school or even difficulty at making friends.
Imagine being in the dark for half day everyday, even inside you're house since uv race penetrates through windows (that ofcourse if you're not lucky like this two thay manage to afford windows used in museums to cut uv rays from getting in).
And they can't even have the medical attention they need when their skin allergy becomes cancerous

Yes I agree that ultra violet radiation is required to make your body produce it, I am just disagreeing with the fact that Gray said it is absorbed from sunlight, which is incorrect. I just imagine needing to go to the bank with a suit on, and having to explain that they are not trying to rob them. I mean banks are usually 70% glass walls, so avoiding the sun would be impossible.
