Really good lecture on clinical presentation, I appreciate your covering early mid and late phases so clearly.

Is 21 days of Doxycycline sufficient for Lyme diagnosed 3 months after a bite?

Thank you for the clear information. On a 21 day course of doxy after a positive test for lyme - stage 1. Southeastern Ontario Canada

I didn’t get just one rash around the bite, my whole body was covered in the bullseye rashes. Did a month of doxycycline, but it has been a downhill, losing battle with it.

@kali542 Miserable. It completely ruined my life. It triggered an autoimmune response that kicked off small fiber poly neuropathy with what is looking like ME/CFS. The pain and fatigue is unreal most times.

The rash is not the most clear cut symptom. Flu like symptoms can be it. I have Lyme, I was sick with flu like symptoms before any rash showed, and it was not a bulls eye rash.

I was bitten by a tic and I am ok I am not sick at all and I have got bit 3 times
    •on my chin
    •behind my ear
•(this was the worst one) on my eye lid (my eyes are fine now)
(By this I don't mean that lyme disease is fake I am just confused because I didn't get it)

Most likely, you have a good immune system. And it makes a difference too if you were able to detect the tick asap and remove it quickly and safely.

Thanks for the video. But you missed some information with how you can contract Lyme... mother’s can pass it on to their babies via the placenta. It may also be passed through bodily fluids, therefore sexually. There’s more “conspiracy theories” as well for other causes, but I’ll leave it at that.

Sexually has not ever been proven anymore than saliva. It can be detected in sexual fluid and in saliva- but there is no proof or evidence it is spread this way. Sorry.
You are correct it can be passed from mother to baby in utero but just to clear up- you can still breastfeed and Lyme is NOT passed via breast milk. It’s actually still very beneficial for baby to have breast milk is mother is able to help build their immune system. But in the womb is another story for now.

Can you have a bullseye but no lyme? I’ve probably had one on me for 5-7 hours as I was clean before bed and still got the bullseye rash.

ELISA and western blot give around 50% false negative. Horrible advice.

Agreed!! If the symptoms are there then it's quite possibly Lyme or one of it's nasty friends!

    • @audrachristine5044
      @audrachristine5044 Год назад

Exactly, they’re good at detecting it if you just contracted it. But if it’s had time to drill into your tissues, and change its form, those tests are like flipping a coin!
