2002 YZ125 YZ250 Polisport plastic update instructions

In this video I walk through the steps needed to install the 2018 Style plastic on a 2002-2014 yamaha yz125 or yz250.
This is using the OEM style 2018 airbox, not the "restyle." This allows you to use full 2018 Yamaha graphic kits.
The plastic came from Polisport
The graphics came from DecalLaboratory on Ebay (2k18 White edition)

Reason I'm asking is because I'm in the process of doing a overhaul on my 08' yz250 and I've got the stock tank but I decided to go with the Yellow Polisport restyle kit. I'm just curious if I should buy a new gas tank or if the graphics kit will have a wrap for the gas tank? Thanks in advance for your help

Should have slid the front fender back and used the back holes for the front and then the studs in the number plates go in the front holes...

I just put this kit on my bike, do you need to get a newer seat to fill that wee space between the back of the seat and the rear fender looks like the 2002 on my bike is too short now

Hey man I have a question. I bought a restyle kit for my 03 yz125.
I took off the subframe, I removed the 5 nuts holding the band that the air boot and filter mounts to. With the new air box I don’t know how to get the intake boot screwed in?
On my 03, there is a band with 5 nuts that held the boot in the air box.
I know that might not make sense but I’m just confused why the new air box has no mounting holes for air filter collar?

Not sure about that. On mine, the intake boot and air filter housing were held together with a thin plastic collar and a big metal band clamp. There wasn't room to reinstall this in the new airbox, however once snapped together, the fit was snug enough it wouldn't separate even with a decent amount of pulling force.

Mark Kausalik wont work on a four stroke. 2 stroke only.

The yz250f changed in every way. Just about everything is different on the new ones. The 2 strokes still use the same design. Only real changes were aluminium frame and better forks n brakes

Pat Wells you’ll have to swap to a 02-04 fuel tank and 02-04 subframe

97-01, 02-04, and 05-up are different frames. this bike was an 02
