The last guy's uncle must have loved him or he was just the only family because he was on another show selling a solid gold watch his uncle had left him. Some uncle because he travelled all the way to the UK before passing to hand these over, hope this guy was grateful.
The £100 Scottish note, is now worthless. It was taken out of circulation back in June 2022....better get those notes back to the bank quickly, or you'll lose money.😉
It's not worthless, it is legal currency and the new polymer version was introduced in May 2022. You can change the cotton ones at any bank at any time, but may have trouble getting them accepted in a shop.
@@bobstirling6885 In actual fact: Are our notes legal tender? Scottish banknotes are not legal tender. Bank of England notes are not legal tender in Scotland either. Officially, the phrase 'legal tender' means money that a person is obliged to accept if offered it in payment of a debt. Under Scottish law, that does not include banknotes, which are classified as 'legal currency' but not 'legal tender'. I was in fact referring to the paper ones.
@@johnromero1029 I was careful never to use the term legal tender for that exact reason, legal currency is different to legal tender. Regardless of those details, you can still return any bank note to the issuing bank at any time and get the face value for it...even an old ten bob note, so the term worthless is the wrong one - you just can't spend it.
Both Tim and Ian are absolutely delightful! They always make me chuckle.
That first lady! Love her.
Tim with Georgie ..Loved the banter...Well done...
Love ❤️ these shows. Loving Tim’s accent. He cracks me up 😂😂😂❤️❤️ Love 💕 learning about the history of various pieces on the show.

Sellers are very obtuse sometimes, refusing to see that the dealers have to make a profit.
