Over the past few seasons Zabaleta has cemented himself as one of the best fullbacks in the world and also as the best Right Back in the Premier League. IMO his the best full back in the Premier League non stop and only second to Lahm in the world, due to Pablos immense work rate, defensive ability (which he excels in) and attacking threat.

Great video, this guy is under-rated. Man City have the best full backs in the league that is partly why they are allowed to play inside wingers like Nasri and Silver and Milner. Without players like Zabaleta and Kolorov those inside players would be a bit less effective.

The moment I realised Zaba was a quality defender: Running back towards his own goal, only a yard or so out, ball comes across wipped in at head hight and with a player behind him ready to tap in with his head... Nightmare of a position for a defender in... Leave it and its a goal, get something on it and its an OG. Zaba somehow manages to just glance it ever so slightly with his head, so deft as to not score but just enough to take away from the attacker. Unbelievable. Bleeds blue and a true Manc (well almost).

Another great vid from you after the Silva's 360 turn. It's be great if you can make a Yaya Toure's passing and first touch compilation as I think he's top class in these two areas but people seems normally first put attention on his goal and power run. Again great video .

Interesting thing what I have noticed about him is his slide tackling. Have you guys noticed anything funny/strange about it? Zabaleta being right footed he prefers to slide tackle his right side on the ground when usually right footed players prefer to slide tackle their left side on the ground.

I think Lahm is the best RB for having quality, consistency and other traits like leadership or versatility for example. I think Alves on his day has the same quality (especially going forward) but he's no where near as consistent especially nowadays, however you can still always count on him in big games. I'd say Zabaleta is a close 3rd best, he's more consistent and complete than Alves but I think his very best isn't as good as Alves at his best for a team which attacks and passes a lot. But still Zaba is awesome, best fullback in the PL by far and seems like a great guy in interviews as well. P.S he looks so much like Javier Mascherano it's unreal.
