Nice deals. My best find was a berthier m1916 infantry rifle with bayonet for $325! She needed some cleaning but shoots good! Also found is wad polish marked so it was sold to them right before the polish-soviet War of 1920
I purchase a 1900 Krag from CMP. It was in great condition and an accurate shooter. Been looking for one this good for years. I also picked up a couple of M 1s from CMP. One was a service grade with a beautiful tiger striped stock. Keep making the great videos.
2024 was a blessed year for me , I was able to acquire 3 milsurp rifles between $315.00 - $350.00 . 4 milsurp rifles at $450.00 , with 2 more below $500.00 . Now in 2025 I don’t expect to acquire as many because January 10th I go in for cataract eye surgery evaluation for both eyes . Thanks for showing us your top picks for 2024 .

That M1903 is absolute fiiiiire!!🔥. Badass buy. I own 2 M1903s and a 03-A3. Other than my M1 (WW2 vintage parts correct) and legitimate M1D built in the mid 1950s they are my favorite US Battle Rifles.
2024 was a huge year for my collecting weapons in general, but it also marked the beginning of my milsurp journey. My main purchases were a National Postal Meter M1 Carbine for $1400, a Romanian Tokarev T-33 for under $300, a M91 Calvary Carbine Carcano for around $200. I also picked up an H&S M1 Carbine which is commercial, but very rare for about $650, and a FEG Hi Power for under $500. This year looks to be quite different for me, since my financials are in a different spot this year than last year. I am hoping that I can start to collect again at some point after mid-2025. Either way, it will allow me to work on the Carcano which is a project rifle and it will also allow me to finish sorting out the issues I'm running into with my Tokarev.
Best deals from 20-30 years ago K-31 $90 Mosin M-39. $70 SVT-40 $230 French 49/56 $240 Mosin 91/30 $75 Mauser K 98 $125 Mauser Gew 98 $300 Mauser 71/84 $300 Wish everyone on here that appreciate these guns and firearms history could have had the chance to go to those gun shows back then. The local Roses store had a bunch of surplus firearms in the early 90s. They were selling enfield for $58. But, I passed on them.😢 Later got some when they were runnig $200.😮 Now it is depressing to see the prices at the shows now.
Hidey, Dan. 👍🏽🍻👍🏽 I believe that I acquired about 15 milsurps in '24, but it was an unusual situation, money wise for me. Almost all from RTI and I wasn't disappointed with a single one, all things considered. They're all in cleaner/better condition now.
Cool finds! It was a tight year for me. I did get a few things. A 70s Mossberg 500at with all wood used by a police department., a 1955 Romanian m44 all matching., a 1944 Savage No.4 mk1 with the green paint under the wood. Oh and an earlyParker-Hale 1861 Enfield Musketoon repro. I also got a hold of a ton of misc surplus parts and accessories. But my biggest acquisition is actually a lathe and end mill.
My top find was an M39 that I was able to purchase for $500. I did come across a 1938 and 1939 Wz29 though. They were mostly matching (including their stocks) I desperately want for my collection but no funds. Maybe in another life, though! My K98k Soviet capture K98k started its life as a Wz29 with original Polish markings under the stock.
Picked up a nice example of a K31 with troop tag in 2024. That was the only milsurp acquisition for me. I watch plenty, though. Unfortunately I'm just watching the prices creep up on what I'd like. But if you're patient, you can still snag a deal here and there. Happy New Year, everyone!
I got a arisaka 6.5x50 long rifle and a Turkish Mauser with a great bore so was pretty happy with that. There was a french level for sale here in Auz but I slept on it and it went, bugger 😂 but that's how it goes sometimes. Plenty of lee heavy Oswald carcanos here at the moment so I might end up grabbing one. All around 400-500au
Damaged ross stock on eBay for $35. Seller states for parts or used for guide to make new stock. But, there are wood workers out there that can repair the damage.😊 No problem
Got 3 rolling blocks. I had two converted from 43 cal to 45-70. Shoots great. Rolling blocks are a whole like stronger actions than the trap doors. I shoot light loads in that.
@@vitoscaletta7151 I was saying something because the one I bought for my father when he retired was an early model and not recommended for "smokeless powder" cowboy loads seemed to be in the pressure cool factor. I just was trying to keep people from messing up they're investment.

That Krag sounds like a nice one. They mostly seemed to be in great condition, and o actually came close to getting one last time I was there.
@ do you know where CMP found these Krags? They just didn’t seem to be too beat up to be from a foreign country.

I had the surgery 5 years ago. I can see better than I have in 50 years. Good luck.
My best deals this year:
Springfield M1903A3 - $620
Siamese Mauser Type 46 with bayonet - $270
French MAS-36 wartime production - $455
Those are great deals! Private party, local shops or other?

I snagged an M96 that was SA marked as well, I used it to run the Cabin Fever Challenge virtual match!
Glad we grabbed those 1903s when we did! Cheers to another great video
I didn’t expect them to run out so fast! Cheers 🍻😎

Just started this year with a ‘42 Mosin and a 1918 Winchester made 1917 Enfield. I have another in the works but don’t want to jinx it.
Im hunting for a reasonably priced Ross rifle. Here’s hoping 2025 will have prospects.

See, I knew you were going to buy that Ross rifle. Finding the parts for that one is going to be VERY difficult. Happy hunting!

Very sad that the Ileon NY Remington factory where your rolling block was made has closed recently. Picking up a 1903 is top of my list for 2025.

I got a No4 for $450 at a gunshow which suprised the hell out of me with the way those have completely fallen off in quality in the last 10 years
Just got started searching in 2024. Now I have a Yugo, Turkish and Spanish Mauser. Not sure what’s next.
you missed a ishapore 2a1 at the greenville show in DEC for 4 hundy
I landed a heap of sweet pieces this year. Just lucky I guess.
Sometime it’s all about right time right place
@BattlefieldCurator it's a buyers market on this side of the Atlantic.
I've gotten super lucky
That rolling block. Use cowboy loads.
It's smokeless, no need to worry
