I think the best way to say it is that aim matters but accuracy as a stat doesn't. It matters that you hit your shots when you need to but also you'll be spamming so many long sight lines, particularly on zen, that the accuracy percentage number doesn't matter.
what about ult? i feel like ive only ever had one good bap ult. Either its far from the front and no one shoots threw it. or its close and the enemy team just pushes. I've just started to use it for my self only, i've given up.
using it for yourself is fine 9/10 times. The double healing on tanks is really good so if it is behind your frontline it can be really benificial. Especially if you have a tank like zarya which does not shoot a projectile as her primary fire. If you kill 1 person with a windown and keep everyone else alive with the 2x heals its big value. And if 1 of your dps heroes decide to also use it thats even better but dont count on it
I use it when the enemy tank is in an aggressive position without natural cover nearby. If you even only get 1-2 good bursts on them, they should die from your teammates even if they don't use your window. If placed correctly it zones the rest of their team as well.
Use window when the enemy team is in an open space where it's difficult for them to push you and also difficult for them to kite back to cover, this will force them to make a decision and give you an advantage
Tl;dr, having good aim is still important, but the in game weapon accuracy tracker isn't a useful statistic, given the need to spam chokes or prefire allies or teammates.
I found the accuracy doesn't matter much in lower ranks unless you can't consistently win 1v1's or take out key targets. I've carried matches on Ana with high elims/healing despite missing a shit ton of shots 😂. Hitting a nade at the right time, being in the right position, or hitting that one sleep can turn fights in your favor easily.
Only time you should be checking your accuracy and caring about it is in Aim trainer Workshops. You're gonna spend so much time just shooting at angles, predicting peaks or trying to force abilities.
man I wish people would not jump around 100% of the time like they do in the lower ranks i inhabit when I'm bap i get why, but it gets annoying when there is no danger, like after wining a fight and persist in jumping spamming heals often jumping over or avoiding my shots, but yeah accuracy aint that much of a factor
KARQ do you know about the glitch where above 100 ping baps gun doesn't always fire all 3 bursts. I love bap so much but seems like the bug is worse these days so I can't play him now.
Weapon accuracy doesn't matter on anyone, too many people hold their shots when applying that pressure and controlling that space is more important. As Tracer I usually fight Sombra and I'll constantly shoot "nothing" but it's worth when it makes contact
You should try to get better than that though. You can apply pressure without wastings so many shots. And on a lot of Heroes it makes sense to release the primary fire often to keep your dispersion lower. Doing that will lead to better trigger discipline, movement, and efficiency.
@@AloneInTheDork I'm not wrong, karq gave the best example with zen. I don't waste clips, tapping the trigger is how it's done. I'm better than you, add praised for 1v mirror. I'll beat you just like I would karq
I always thought aim acc in general is the worse stat to take seriously, unless it has a mechanic to catch if you intended to hit someone or not but that feels to hard to program so I'm gonna guess it just reads when you miss, and maybe to pros it can matter but giving how I shoot walls the entire walk to the point, and sometimes just shoot at choke points to create pressure I always figured it cant be an accurate display of your acc. I cant take my acc seriously when I spent the opening 30 seconds of the game free firing onna plant 😂
@@arnaul_de_lapras5853 I dont just shoot then tho, I got rank adhd so if I sit there to long I start just shooting discolored spots on walls and sheit 😂
In gm keeping your team alive probably matters a lot more. In plat or gold you should problably be focusing on doing more damage to carry while not letting anyone on your team die unnecessarily
In case you didn't know, the "shoot heal shoot heal" rhythm allows for full uptime on healing. The "shoot shoot heal shoot shoot heal" rhythm is slightly slower but since you have the extra shot in between heals, you do more damage. Ultimately it's dependent on what your goal is while playing Bap; his muscle memory is ingrained to do "shoot heal shoot heal" but he can switch it up when necessary for different situations. I'm not KarQ but I would recommend learning to integrate "shoot heal shoot heal" into your gameplay simply because it's important to have those shots in there while constantly healing teammates. It's simply more applicable in more scenarios. "shoot shoot heal shoot shoot heal" is less consistent and slightly more difficult to get a rhythm down on, and if you're playing at a pace where you can heal slower using this pace, then it isn't really necessary to have a rhythm. TLDR: Depends, but "shoot heal shoot heal" is usually more versatile and necessary for consistency when you are burst healing
Thanks guys, I think I need to think more which rythm to use (I think I normally just go on autopilot and spam randomly + lower chance to hit enemy as I spam). I'll try to mix things up and feel which one is better.
shoot shoot heal is slightly slower than just alternating bc it delays the healing a little, but if you need the damage more than the heals then it would be more effective. neither option is wrong, and both are effective in their own ways tho. i'd recommend trying to switch between them based on what your team needs at the time, or just going with what's more comfortable for you.
So if someone is good at aim and someone else is bad at aim, but Weapon Accuracy is the wrong stat to measure that, then how do we measure if someone has good aim, other than just watching?
I understand that you need to shoot in between heals but why not just reserve the ammo for when they dive you or for a kill opportunity, I keep on seeing you shoot the floors and walls for no reason
