Disneyland Just Opened Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge with No Reservation Needed - Crowds / Wait Times

- A visit to Disneyland for the first day that Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge has been open to park guests without a prior reservation . After over three weeks of a soft open of sorts it’s now official . Anyone with theme park admission is allowed in .

Felt like I should make it down to Anaheim today . This will only happen once and wanted to be there and document the experience . A lot more low key than the madness of May 31st at 8am for sure but interesting to see how things will go for a while . Get there moderately early , make fast passes and have fun
Jabba pillow is awesome. You might have to do short video with your new jabba and slacious crumb interacting with each other.

This was actually one of the better videos I've watched for Galaxy's Edge. You spend some more time showing some details. Gives me hope for WDW's when it opens in August. I'm a local pass holder so I was getting bummed that I really wouldn't like it.

Nice work as always on the vlog!!! Im feeling just a hair underwhelmed by the land though! Maybe we just need Rise to open. Or my expectations were too high. But like, animate those droids that are in a line outside a little more, the Smugglers queue is cool seeing the Falcon, but that other craft you circle in line is totally unanimated? Sunny Eclipse is better than the simple droid turning meat...Hmmmmm maybe add scale and sights and sounds and in person its cooler. Hope so!!

Not the crowds that were expected because NO ONE really cares about the new land because it's overwhelmingly disappointing. The park has been dead since the land opened on May 31st. This isn't working out the way Disney hoped.
I had a case of the Mondays until I saw ADAM IS BACK!!!! Thanks for taking us to Disney again, I really enjoyed the Star Wars land again.

@@douglaswhite6702 Yes, a fenced in area would work, like the one I saw in some videos with some R units (one of whom was taking an oil bath). To have a GNK and/or protocol droid walking about in that would be fun, and a crowd draw.

Disney really went all out rubbing in the fact that they own star wars by redesigning the stormtrooper helmet to look like a duck face.
I’ve always referred to them as Howard the duck troopers . They have however started to grown on me

Prices are the Reason of Crowds being so Low! If you do the math two signature passes is $ 2,300 or 2 3 day ticket is $600-$710. Or two 1 day parkhopper tickets right now is $300-400. And hotal rates are insane $400-600 on average to get in also parking $25-40 per day it does not cover your food and drinks in the park and merchandise in park. This is one of the main factors to unusual low attendances with budget cuts in live Entertainment no tommorrowland bands and food portions getting smaller while prices still climb up. Also Galaxy Edge is also poorly designed because it has 8-10 shops 6-8 restaurants while having 2 attractions in 14 acres of land one of biggest ever made in 21st century also a reason of failure. Also people are afraid of crowds of this new land and Disneyland made things too difficult for the average consumers to access the land led to a low attendance . And to add salt to injury Disneyland added too many blackout dates to annual passholders and castmembers that some will not be able to savor Galaxy's Edge for 2-3 months after opening that some said no to renewing of annual pass or no to getting a pass.
We should only hope the opening in Fla is as smooth as Disneyland! Somehow, I don’t think so

Maybe the reason the crowds aren't that bad is because the "peak" admission price now is $149,

I’m one of the crazy fans that woke up at 3 in the morning to walk right into the land on opening day without reservations.... I had already gotten 3 reservations, but I was still exited... the reservations were way more calm looking back, and by opening the line for Smugglers Run wounded back past RISE OF THE RESISTANCE, saying that it had a 180 minute wait!! I walked right in though since I was early
8:35 they hired 7 actors to guard the entrance of a closed ride?

I went on monday after work around 5, the millennium falcon was only 35 min wait and the land was open, not requiring the boarding pass system that they'll be using for busy days. The whole theme park was not busy at all either, everything was 10-15 minute stand-by including the E ticket attractions.

I visited Batuu today as well Disneyland was so enjoyable low wait times all day Splash was a 25 minute wait at 1:50 that's UNHEARD of for a summer day

Nice!! Disney is finally testing a "Virtual Queue." The wait time for Smuggler's Run seems to get long, but not ridiculously long as on rides with FP+ Stand-By lines!!! Could this be the future?? No more FP+?? Time will tell.

They have a lot of troopers walking around and honestly they should have random battles with rebels like it might be scripted for them but it would be completely random to attendees and that would be completely awesome blasters maybe a small AT-ST that would be dope
Tbh I am kinda disappointed at the way this looks. There are just a lot of shops and restaurants and atm just 1 ride? You need to pay $129 to visit a star wars themed shopping mall? No thanks. Plus Star Wars isn’t something which I relate to Disney

For all that money you get one ride where you end up being told what your position is and depending on which position you may not get to enjoy the full experience. You got to wait on line for restaurants and most of the land is shops. Correct me if I am wrong but at least at Pandora you had multiple rides open when the land debut. I personally feel if they stuck more to the original trilogy they would have had more concepts to work with and not limit themselves to a new trilogy that not only hasn’t been completed yet but is not as loved as much as the old one.
Kerry Hettinger exactly. I went to Pandora both 2017 and 2018 and what I liked most is that they don’t force you to buy anything. I can’t even remember any shop in Pandora. The setting is also something expect to see in Disney Animal Kingdom. Star Wars doesn’t fit in the theming of the main Anaheim Disney park.

Ok so. I actually found out about this from Disney. No they will NOT be doing reservations. They claim because they have 18 resorts vs Disneyland has very few so they can't really accomodate everyone with onsite resort benefits for reservations. BUT there will be reserved time for annual pass holders and they advised if your looking to go to galaxys edge WDW, better get an annual pass
