Who is not Karl Gerbschimidt
thats the guy who doesn't believe we will win a dozen jeromebardys in the next ten years
Sam is the man it is ridiculous to think jj os a atarter ... mullen's is ahead of jjjlet him learn the playbook and footwork ....geeeze...let him evolve into a starter
..
Agreed 💯 I was JJ’s third biggest supporter in the draft- behind Harbaugh and Thor Nystrom, but I believe he should sit for the year.
Sam will be the worst starting QB in the NFL if he indeed holds the job.
@@RednGone I agree. I do think he should play next year no matter what though, I also think if he sits for too long it could hurt his growth.
JJ may end up being a bust. It is entirely possible. But... KOC and McCown are the best people who can guide him... They know where other programs fail. I don't know if JJ is going to work out, but I do think that he his in the best situation possible. So let's see what happens
He’s full of potential. He just needs time to develop. He’s reportedly a very hard worker and willing to put in the time to learn the system and mechanics of playing QB at the highest level. I personally think the odds are in his favor.
@@scottfisher352 He seems to have a brain and work ethic!
Seifert is the best. Fair in every way.
I will not be shocked if Sam Darnold has a career year. Would not be the first time a QB brought in as a transition took the Vikings deep into the playoffs. Does everyone forget Case Keenum? Believe me, Sam is a 1000% better than Keenum ever was. The pieces are set up better for Darnold then they were for Keenum. So if you are a gambling man, you could make money in Vegas on the low odd they give the Vikings to first make the playoffs, and 2nd to even be successful in the playoffs. As for JJ. let the boy sit on the bench for a year, and maybe use him for cleanup late in the 4th quarter after an assured Viking win. Also, If Sam does bad, JJ is not going to come in and make things better. Next year, after he has a preseason with the starters then he can have his chance, and then we will see if he is what they want. Even Rodgers sat for almost 5 years. true they had Favre.
It’s funny how we speculate on whether McCarthy will sit or play when the blueprint on how to develop a young quarterback has been displayed twice in our own division… i.e. the dreaded Green Bay Packers. McCarthy should sit as long as possible and continue to work on his mechanics until they are ingrained into his DNA so that the minute he is called into action, he will be a well oiled machine.
Let's just change Sam Darnold's name to Knute Rockne.
Even talking about JJ starting the season is madness.
10 million for a back-up QB? Ain't gonna happen unless Darnold gets hurt or stinks it up so bad the coach is compelled to make a change. Even then it could be Mullens team
Seifert is a great guest... You can tell he really likes talking about football 🏈
I kicked one at football practice, maybe 30 yds in college (Div III). Never tried again as I know it was pure luck.
Hope all goes well but I’m dam thankful we still have our 2025 first rounder.
The conversation on JJ is moot. Darnald will let him see the field....For years.
Kevin is the Vikings writer that probably is the least informed on the Vikings. People still listen to him?
Ya'll tripping, he's a good coach, blame the bodies, that's not playing welll.
KOC is ONE DIMENSIONAL.....
He has NO run game
He has NO scren game
He seldom utilizes the width of the field with safety valve passes or outside runs
He has a vertical passing game - that's it
I question his coaching big time.....he's had 2 years to build a run game and screen game. his O-line is far from the worse - it's middle of the pack according to all experts (check out PFF)
blaming an average line for being average is fine, but calling them worse than they've been is bias based upon talking heads with no reference
Why is the mic poking seifert in the face? 😂
I hope the Packers make the mistake of extending Love
Have you even looked at the schedule? If the Vikings go 2 and 4 in the first 6 games, the Vikings will be off to a good start.
And that is what is facing Darnold right from the start. Hope KOC doesn't pull the plug on Darnold too soon if we start slow! McCarthy needs to sit a year, play Mullens if need be!
The Vikings shouldn't feel sad if Jordan love is an average QB that the Packers are paying 50M a year for. Chicago COULD be a much bigger problem
Even Mahomes sat out.....
Purple pants rule Coller.
Darnold led the NCAA in turnovers . He won’t change. Like Mullens, they will always turn the ball over the more they have to throw. They must run the ball effectively and not fall behind in games to win.
I think KOC and Co. could want Mullens to stick around a long time, if only so he doesn't give whatever team he joins the keys to the offense.
Rpo has only been given lip service.K8rk was terrible at it. Please do a segment to compare our system to SF and Rams.
Mullens should be gone!
He may be our savior!
Is Seifert playing xbox or doing an interview?
😂
KOC has had 2 years to build a run game and screen game and has failed miserably.....
when you run 2 "tushpush" runs to gain one lousy yard and fail? YOU SUCK!!
if that's the ONLY play he has? his run game is pathetic. beyond pathetic. inexcusable!!!
KOC is a stubborn one-dimensional coach. i doubt he will build a run game with any imagination. he'll bench his good runners in lieu of a blocking running back to protect his quarterback, rendering ANY play action moot. play action will fail, because his run game is completely disjointed from his passing game.....
