Hey guys I would love for you to react to Kendrick Lamar’s new song ‘The Heart Part 5’ now you can experience his music and where he is real time and how his music only gets better
Guys, that was Ron Isley in the video, and there was also cameo by George Clinton. The Isley brothers wrote this with Kendrick and instead of sampling they re-recorded which is so cool. It won 2 Grammys. You should check out Anderson .Paak’s “Tints” featuring Kendrick. They are friends ( also w Thundercat ) and have great chemistry. ✌🏻
I really appreciate when you guys recognize samples in modern songs. Makes me wanna do homework and check it out. Been diving more into Isley Bros music this past year. Such a sonic gem
I was really hoping you guys caught the Ron Isley cameo towards the end. The swagged out gentleman next to the car while while Kendrick is dancing in the bass breakdown... and While we're on the topic of Isley check out Alex Isley. She's the daughter of Earnest Isley. Wonderful music.
What's great is that this song is a single, when the album came out the song i was turned into a more raw live feeling version that gets interrupted towards the end by the mob he's preforming for, he then goes on to give a speech and an acapella. Kendricks music is very artistic to me
since you guys have reacted to i, u should be next on the list! very powerful juxtaposition to the positivity of this song. the music video of "u" is titled god is gangsta
You guys are doing great work. It not only means a lot and shows respect to the people who enjoy these different genres, it also sets an example for people who maybe prejudice towards another genre. This is how we learn about each other, and appreciate our similarities and differences as well. Again, great work guys!
Thanks for the referencing the Isley Brothers “That Lady”, it helped. I maybe maybe wrong, but I think the Isley Brothers where featured in the video. Great work, Guys.
Would definitely recommend some Thundercat, while I like kendricks discography, To Pimp A Butterfly's jazzy and funk sounds stand above all the others still. These are large in part to thundercat's production on a majority of the songs on the album, and while I don't know for certain, those funky bass chords at the end sound like classic thundercat
Please bring more kendrick reactions , just watched the kendrick lamar -alright reaction and just finished this one love the way you guys actually pay attention not just to the lyrics but the videos as well
For those that did not catch the special appearance, that is Ronald Isley of The Isley Brother that picks Kendrick Lamar up in the Caddy towards the end.
He's widely considered to be the best of his generation and I don't disagree! Always delivering necessary messages, but never in a ham fisted or preachy way. Not to mention the incredible artistry and lyrical ability. One of the best to do it
You should listen to the album version of this song (To Pimp A Butterfly is the name of the album) which is a Live version plus it has a little something extra at the end like a dialogue of Kendrick talking to the audience.
hey guys, discovered your channel yesterday w the tyler the creator reaction and watched most of the videos since then, and after watching the kendrick one i wondered what would be the another great song by him for u to react and "i" just popped in my mind, and past one day here we are. loving the content, keep it up! much love from brazil.
Great reaction guys :) Because you enjoy his jazz fusion and lyrical ability so much I really recommend yall to listen to To Pimp A Butterfly in its entirety. It's got both this song and Alright on there, and the context of the album adds a ton to understanding the extra layers of these tracks. I know the channel is just meant for singles n videos, so dont worry keep it that way. But please do listen to the album in your own time! One of the best albums in music (let alone hip hop) history. It's a visceral concept album with a great story line and stunning orchestration that can only blow you away. Makes me emotional every time I decide to put it on. Anyways, great job w the channel. The openness of you guys' approach to contemporary music is great to see and highly appreciated, keep it going!
I think once you guys have run through a lot of the current artists of today, I would like to see your reactions to the kind of artists and groups that influenced the likes of Kendrick. I'm thinking A Tribe Called Quest, The Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, Outkast etc. I'm enjoying your stuff, gents.
I wish you did the album version but he single version is still a good song. I don't know our its a live performance or if he made it sound like a live performance in the studio but it has an amazing extra verse that's just absolutely amazing
Honestly listening to one off song of Kendrick doesn't do him justice. He does nothint but concept albums where all the songs are just pieces in a over all message and how he structure his albums it just paints a vivid story
Great reactions! You should check out u by Kendrick Lamar. There's no video, but it comes right before Alright on the album and it makes the songs that much more impactful.
Yo guys.. here me out.. react to Covet Falkor or Yvette Young something from her.. it's her band anyway. Time for some really cool amazing and artful rock my dudes.

Hey guys I would love for you to react to Kendrick Lamar’s new song ‘The Heart Part 5’ now you can experience his music and where he is real time and how his music only gets better
imagine these 2 reacting to the whole to pimp a butterfly album, theyd be mind blown
we really need to recommend them more kendrick songs tbh
That's actually going to be our first album reaction on Patreon.
@@TwoOldDudes oh my god you guys need to advertise that everywhere thatd be insane
ruclips.net/video/J39XajnpFV8/видео.html it’s music btw
This reaction will be a classic episode
Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly album really is a masterpiece but it's probably best listened to in it's entirety, at least for the first listen
They should do a album review
The contrast and development between "u" and "i" is crazy

That actually wasn’t a sample! The Isley Brothers helped write the song and re-recorded their old song for it.
ruclips.net/video/J39XajnpFV8/видео.html it’s music btw
@@cfoley1014 it was an interpolation. They replayed the original just like they did on The Heart Part 5
A telling fact is that he is one of the only rappers to ever win a Pulitzer Prize. Pretty impressive.
I’m pretty sure the bassist is “Thundercat” he would be a good one to check out. He makes a bass talk as some would say
Awesome reaction
You guys should give Dang by Mac Miller and Anderson Paak a try since y’all liked the jazzy beat on this song
Soulmate on that same album and ladders from swimming have somewhat that same sound. Funk/jazz
Jazz has been integrated into Hip Hop since its early inception. Became a bit more rare throughout the years but there's still plenty to pull from.
ruclips.net/video/J39XajnpFV8/видео.html it’s music btw
Mac miller is overrated
@@deanpeanuts5112
You have time to delete your comment.
you guys should also listen to "u" by kendrick, very deep and introspective track with some crazy production on it
Lol after two uplifting tracks this one would be a shocker to them
Yesss

I’m so glad you immediately recognized the Isley Brothers sample!
God is Gantsta is gone make you guys cry!!

alex isley is amazing!
And George Clinton was in the beginning reading his own book

These Walls by Kendrick Lamar should be next, its from the same album To Pimp A Butterfly similar to "i" and "Alright"
Spot on about The Isley Brothers.... you, however, missed that Mr. Ron Isley was the gentleman standing next to the car near the videos end. ;) 😎
Also, I enjoy your reactions. ;) Cheers...

Kendrick Lamar -U
since you guys have reacted to i, u should be next on the list! very powerful juxtaposition to the positivity of this song. the music video of "u" is titled god is gangsta
Kendrick Lamar is a legend Im so glad you guys are watching this.
Funny he knew right away the sample from the Isley brothers. But he didn't recognize the driver in the video was lead singer Ron Isley
bro I love this song. ever since it first dropped it always made my day a whole lot better
"u" by Kendrick is a must before this song, but anyways it's a good reaction tho.
You guys are doing great work. It not only means a lot and shows respect to the people who enjoy these different genres, it also sets an example for people who maybe prejudice towards another genre. This is how we learn about each other, and appreciate our similarities and differences as well. Again, great work guys!
Thanks Phresh!
The guy standing by the car at the end is one of the Isley Brothers!! Did you guys catch it?? Love that he included the guy he sampled from.
Thanks for the referencing the Isley Brothers “That Lady”, it helped. I maybe maybe wrong, but I think the Isley Brothers where featured in the video. Great work, Guys.
Yes he was in the video
lmao I don't usually listen to intros but yours was kinda funny.

For those that did not catch the special appearance, that is Ronald Isley of The Isley Brother that picks Kendrick Lamar up in the Caddy towards the end.

Anyone recognized Roland Isley in the video? He was driving the car Kendrick was in.
