Great video. I'd argue that jet pack goes with the Toro centric build row as it is super at protecting him the turn you buff. Agree with basically everything else
Thanks for your review. I definitely struggle to see the benefit of Zuckus within this deck's typical aims at 5 resources. I agree I would never drop Bouncers or Lackys so I'm glad that was clarified. Outside of being a great stat stick and SS target on turn 5, I think it's definitely not the turn 4 play you would typically want. Unless you managed to already out tempo so hard and have a clear ground area, which means you were likely going to win regardless. I think I'd rather keep Bossk or other event / combination options for turn 4. I would only consider him auto included with a more bounty hunter focused kit with Toro and the like. I just think the 4lom/Zuck combo is a bit of a trap that adds inconsistency without a fuller kit. DJ is a really bold call. With Blue/Green being one of the better counters to these types of decks, I think you're really opening yourself up to auto losing to an early scanning officer and losing the main draw of early tempo. Definitely going to end up being something you have to consciously play around if smuggle gains enough traction in meta. With Han and this deck both running smuggle kits, I think we are already reaching that point.
Toro build is best. Dream is play toro turn 2 into cunning with a bounce and pump to ready a resource then greedo to ready again turn 3 for 14 even before the flip.
Someone else mentioned this line. Feels too all in for a tempo based deck. There will be spots for this but I think you’re better off not playing for this damage combo in most situations
I’m watching this on my phone and I’m missing something. But did You miss Becket? He is a very good 4 drop for a 4/5. And with him on the board Waylay and Cunning go from being sick to disgusting sick
You're right, I did miss Beckett. I tested w him early and found him lacking because of the way I play the deck I want to play stuff on 4 that does something so I can start to close the game out
What about Tobias Beckett, is he not even worthy of a coaster or did you just forget to include him :D ? Smuggle is blue, but the front side is still yellow
@@Tiese2807 You shouldn't have any Mandalorians in that deck (Cunning/Command/Villainy), so you're just getting a unique 4/3 upgrade for 4. You're better off using that slot for a Boba Armor (or Blaster or Jetpack to get a +2/+0 with an additional benefit (that you don't lose if you lose the upgrade)) for less. Investing that much into a unit upgrade with so much upgrade hate included in the meta makes it a hard sell unless you can really get everything out of it quickly. For me, Darksaber only makes a deck if I have at least 15 Mandalorians in it with a cost of 2 or 3 so that some of them can beat it out.
I think since you’re already in double yellow, the smuggle cost at seven is fine. The benefit there is resource disruption against ramp/control decks. If your opponent is planning on dropping Vader at 7, Superlaser Blast/Snoke at 8, etc., you can postpone that by at least a turn to give yourself some more room to execute your game plan at that point. I can see the argument as a disruptor for midrange and control decks, and if you’re playing against aggro a 3/5 unit for 3 isn’t bad.
yeah... but we have Bazine and Bodhi for controlling key cards with much less resources. I understand the point of delaying the opponent, but on turn 7 id rather be finishing the game.
Did I miss Seventh Fleet Defender? You mentioned it when talking about Tie Phantom but I don't think you had it as a card? For me I'm going back and forth between Seventh and Phantom - leaning more towards Seventh Fleet since there isn't really anything in deck that permantently buffs a unit (Blaster/Jetpack can't attach to Phantom) which makes the phantom less appealing, but the ability to just shut down Power of the Dark Side into control matchups makes it so hard for me to justify taking phantom out.

Sounds good, obviously I don't expect everyone to agree so glad to hear the other opinions

I've been just running one DJ and generally not resourcing him at times I can get blown out by scanning officer, he's still solid as a backup 3 drop
jetpack is an autoinclude for me. helps out the qira matchup and is more versatile than bobas armor

Dam, now I want to know what your build is with new cards
I do appreciate that and I post my lists after I play them publicly at an event, so if I run this at gencon at all I'll publish it
Looks like the stock list to me
Real talk though - I consider 4-LOM and Evazan auto-include
Evazan is not good and I'll die on that hill 😂
He's been better than expected

Good Stuff right here

I did forget him. He's pretty good! 4/5 relevant body, he'd definitely be in the second tier
No cube list yet??! 😢
I know, keeps getting pushed back. We're going to test it more extensively at gencon
Sry just looked only at the end. Whats with darksaber
There's no Darksaber in the video mate
@@SWU_KTOD I know, but I am asking what you think of Darksaber 😅
In a mono yellow deck with no Mandalorians, I don't like it lmao. It costs 6!

@@jgsugden ups youre right. Just saw, that both Set 1 Bobas are now Mandalorians 🫢🫣
can you explain why is DJ good in a Boba deck? I still cannot see this guy playing in another deck than Han Solo - DJ
Was it not explained in the video?

I think a 1x to keep decks off SLB is potentially game saving.

I was only rating set 2 cards in this video, 7th fleet is still in as a 3x
@@SWU_KTOD *slaps forehead* makes sense! I think I was just thrown off since you were talking about it alongside Tie Phantom - thanks for the reply!
All good lol and any time!
I really hope Boba makes DJ good, he's got suck a bad rep as the worst rare in the set
Who’s giving him a bad rep? He’s literally in every Han 1 deck right now.
@@Kyle-e8r Just saw a lot of hate when the set first came out, I know locally in my meta they consider him trash
Yay more boring boba yellow my favorite……..
