Yeah the reason he doesn’t have a voice box or a laser or anything is because Medicom aren’t the type of company who make action figures with electronic functions they only make articulated figures. I definitely agree though for the price point they could at least added some finger/thumb articulation for Buzzes hands and possibly a pop out wing function. Look forward to receiving mine soon!
@@MattB2000 That's weird. Maybe they wanted to make it difficult for competing companies to figure out how they engineered him. I like to modify things but the price on this guy makes me not even want to resort to what I'd have to do to do it.
@@YEAR-1-RELICS Yeah the way Medicom have designed this figure makes him pretty much impossible to mod. At least with Medicom Woody you can mod him but with Buzz you can’t do anything other than a head swap.🤣 Personally imo I don’t think he’s worth the money as I kind of got bored of him but don’t get me wrong I do appreciate the accurate details like the movie accurate wingspan, helmet, ball jointed wrists and bicep swivel etc but ideally for me I want to have a Buzz Lightyear that at least has electronics. I honestly think my custom Buzz that I am working on will be better than this figure.
@@YEAR-1-RELICS But yeah for how much he costs it’s definitely not worth doing anything to him and probably best just to leave him as he is take it from me.
I actually don’t mind the buttons not being pressed. Apparently, Medicom is not a electronic action figure manufacturer. That’s what I’m hearing based on everything. If they had to do voice boxes for every figure, that thing would be $1000. And it would come with the manual. I guess we had to sacrifice the red button and wing electronic for the fact that the arms have mechanics that stretch out and have to be retracted inside his body, so there really would be no space for the wing mechanics. The only disappointment I have is that I wish that the open toy hand had all individual moveable fingers. Then the other hands could just be poseable static ones. I just hope they don’t come up with a 2nd version six months after I paid this much money, like they did with Woody, and give us all that I’ve just said.
I didn’t expect full electronics - but the wing mechanism is only some springs, they could have added that and a LED light to the laser, toy company’s have done the same or less with $20-$30 toys.
@@TheGalactic_Geek I on the other hand want a movie accurate Buzz figure with working electronics and a fully retractable helmet karate chop action and whoosh feature but no he wasn’t fat enough and due to budget cuts
Looks awesome, thanks for the video! I’ve noticed from some pics that it looks a bit underscaled next to the medicom Woody? How does it compare in person?
@@TheGalactic_Geek oh sweet I’m glad because unlike collection buzz with molded plastic screws they are genuine this figure is our chance of having a 100 percent perfectly movie accurate Buzz
@@TheGalactic_Geek yeah that was a huge selling point for me is the wings. bummer it doesn't have any features like pushable buttons or lights but overall still a nice display piece. can't wait to get mine
Well there you have it Todayigrewup no electronics no whoosh feature and no fully retractable helmet but the wings look spot on and they are nice and long
a Buzz without buttons and controls is not a Buzz😅 I hold onto my glow in the dark 2019 even tighter with its karate move🤣 anyway excellent review🤠😉💪 I'll follow you and subscribe to the channel😉
You start to realize that all of those features the toy had in the movie make it unrealistic. That's why the figure could never pose the way it did in the film. That being said I was hoping I could at least open the chest up and make the buttons so that they press. I don't think there's a way to open it though. The screws are fake. Everything seems either glued or molded in one piece.
I don't know. The post proportions are off and most of the face sculpts don't look like buzz. The wing span is still short but medicom is the first buzz with movie accurate wing span. Chogokin green is a bit off as well and it's not true buzz scale. I'd buy beast kingdom buzz before buying chogokin but accuracy sides more with medicom.
Yes I will be getting MEDICOM TOY STORY ULTIMATE BUZZ LIGHTYEAR! I think he’s beautiful but it’s absolutely ridiculous that he doesn’t have even pop out wings and you can’t even press the buttons And his helmet not being able to fold open and closed And interchangeable hands ? You’d think for this kind of money he’d have one set of hands that are fully articulated At least give us a laser light if your not going to give him a voice box I was expecting the wings to at least be pop out But I’m still going to get him MEDICOM ULTIMATE WOODY is the same kettle of fish, they literally only have to give him a pull string voice box and they couldn’t even do that, if your going to call it the ULTIMATE something it means a few things like This is the definitive version, the best!

They could’ve sacrificed the alt face sculpts and hands with a laser and electronics that is very common in basic figures
Wow! That is a cool Buzz Lightyear figure!
You should do a comparison between this, and the real posing buzz
Will do!
Looks awesome, thanks for the video! I’ve noticed from some pics that it looks a bit underscaled next to the medicom Woody? How does it compare in person?
I think they look pretty close - but I can measure and find out for sure!
Been wanting a medicom toy for awhile. I’m undecided between buzz or woody… what would you recommend¿
Which character do you like better? And how much are you willing to spend?
@@TheGalactic_Geek the woody is probably my fave tbh. I’m kind of looking to spend from £300-375 just need to keep my eyes pealed.
Daaaaaang that’s a cool Buzz
So essentially this is a bigger more expensive beast kingdom buzz 🤔 with fold out wings . Love the wings though .
That’s definitely what it reminds me of!
Does this have real screws so that way we could take it apart and see what’s inside?
There are some real screws

It would be nice to see you do a comparison video together with Takara Tomy, Revoltech, Chogokin, Model Kit & Beast Kingdom.
are the decals stickers or painted?

finally a buzz with thick long wings like the movie.

Is he screen accurate height wise?
Yes

Should have been 250 to 300 usd ..still i think it should not be more than 200 usd😊
I agree!
That one was diecast metal too! Wish was true to scale tho, far too small to display with woody
