- I bought a new CNC torch for my Primeweld Cut 60 to use with my Arcdroid. I install, calibrate and do some test cuts. I was planning on testing THC with the Arcdroid but I failed to get that unlocked. Maybe next time.
It is nice seeing your shop progress and improve. This is all stuff I would like to so, myself, at some point in the future as I can afford to do so. Good video, very helpful. God Bless!!!
Thank you
Thanks for the calibration demo
Hopefully it helps someone!
I'm not planning on getting an Arcdroid but know someone that wants one. I skimmed through the manual for him and notice Arcdroid uses divided voltage for THC. However, it does not state at what ratio. Why did you go with 1/50 over 1/16? Can raw be used instead?
I haven't implemented THC. I started looking into it but the output from my Primeweld Cut60 is not acceptable for use with the arcdroid. I do believe it uses 1/50 voltage. @amp_mechanic has some good videos of what he did to set up THC. He ended up building an external voltage divider, which I believe he sells now.
Did you ever figure out why the Droid shut down and you got shocked?
I believe it was the unshielded cat 5 cable. It has been quite a while since it has happened.
How much are arc Droids
$2500 for the arcdroid + your plasma cutter
i see on arcdroids website it says not to use high frequency plasma machines.. have you noticed any issues?
I've had no issues, and I noticed the Primeweld cut 60 has been added to the approved machine list for machines built later than 2021.
The CUT60 is not a high frequency machine.
@@kwikschannel4371 oh the website says its a high frequency no touch start
@@adam-oz1jo it shouldn't, it's a blowback type. I own one as high-frequency cannot be used for CNC.
Too many toys to buy, not enough money!
Amen to that!
