When I saw the state of the motor I said "Hey, that motor is still good. No need for rewinding". So you did, apparently. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Good job, my friend.
Over there, in the English speaking West - 🇦🇺🇨🇦🇬🇧🇺🇸, we call these’s pedestal cooling fans. When I was young I used to call them standing fans as that was their appearance, but to describe the 1930s style lamp in my family’s lounge - vintage brass stand, retro floral shade, next to the sofa, that “pedestal lamp” was the correct term ✅😉. I was expecting to see “Mr. Electricity” himself, as the pedestal fan is the same height and size, (I assume he is a Filipino/Vietnamese Oriental)? (In another of his videos a commentator said he was Filipino). The fan itself - l like to browse though catalogues I have seen smaller versions of this fan - what strikes me is the aeroplane style impeller it has, this one is commercial, about 19 inches?
From watching time 11:15 to 11:26 I found you didn't put enough grease in the gear box, to be precise you put no grease at all. Why? This fan with so high angular momentum will damage the gears in very short time if you keep it oscillating. Always grease the pinions and gears of oscillation mechanism. I have no problem of keeping the old bearings, but you should have cleaned the old grease before putting new grease, sometimes greases of different chemical composition don't mix and turns into solid crust.
@@samuelfellows6923 that will not insure those windings arent starting to fraye down inside and an ohm test will not tell you that either and all this is is a clean and repaint not a restore big difference. there are people on here that truly restore things including rewinding and also replacing those bearings you didnt even clean those bearings so not a restore just a clean and pain
Your paint stripper leaves more paint than it removes... Excellent job on the restoration... WELL DONE!!! 10/10
Hi Mr. Electricity 👋👋👋👋 very good restoration 👍👍👍👍

Buy sandblaster instead steelwool
I was thinking the same thing; but I don't think he can afford the equipment.
Unless he tries this: ruclips.net/video/qpkdaHxL7nA/видео.html 👀
Not replacing the bearings while the motor was apart is just criminal.
Fabulous !
Wow
He didn't even scrape off all the paint and painted over it so how's is that a good job
E.C. Marin
Watch it again.
@@glennlawrie-smith8570 I forgot to say off the perpellers everything else was ok, his painting isn't so good either.

What is insulation paint? 🤔
👍👍👍👍
How do these fans get as crusty as they do? Is there like some big dusty cement factory in town or what?
O motor é quase igual a de um ventisilva
How do I send you stuff. I want to buy you a new 10 PCS Magnetic Screwdriver Set. Where do I ship this to?
He need better quality 🛠️ tools. 🔧
Did you rewind the fields on this motor or just reseal it
Douglas Morrison - it was in good condition (must’ve tested it before video) was painting the windings with insulation paint

@@samuelfellows6923 Because you replied to me when I was speaking to mr electric
Does anyone speak this guy's language? If so could you help him make a patreon name up so we can donate!!
The language on objects in several of his videos appears to be Vietnamese, so he's probably in Vietnam.
And now watch the fan blow the camera over... :-)
this is not a fan this is air boat motor
Good but loud...
Its an industrial fan so it's loud
before few days i was looking to this video
