Hello!!! Thank you for this! So well thought out. Quick question. I just planted a couple of climbing roses. When do you recommend starting to train the canes to go horizontally? Do I do it ASAP or wait till the canes are like 5-6 feet...or something else? Please and thank you!
This video script was written by a native Asian-speaker and then narrated (spoken) by an American with ZERO corrections. I believe it is a revenue stream to grab unlicensed video, overlay audio and post on youtube - same reason there are so many audio postings with generic and vaguely related slide shows. BTW - not incredibly reliable advice from such sources.
That was definitely a robot reading from an automatic translation like Google translate. The word choices were very strange. I have never heard “watering” called “showering” before - especially when you’re talking about watering at the root level. “Showering” sounds like watering from the top, over the leaves, which can cause fungal diseases in warm, humid climates.
Thanks for the video. I plan to plant a climbing rose 'Teasing Georgia' to cover the fence as wide as much. And I need to purchase a planter and put them on the paving next to the fence. How wide and deep will the root grow? What's ideal size of the planter? Or is it better to grow it on the ground in order to get the "as wide as much" effect I would like to see? Thank you very much!
4:38 Many roses that are hardy (like "John Cabot Rose") for cold weather like Zone 3, I don't think need to be treated like that during winter, do they?
Live in southern Ontario, Canada and have never done anything for my John Cabots and they thrive..maybe the first year put some mulch around the bottom of the rose, certainly not what he suggests
Try hulthemia rose hybrids also called Rosa persica, as it grows wild in Iran/Iraq. It's ones with a dark eye in the flower: Tigris, Alissiar, Eyes for You and many others.
You can go to local nursery and buy these climbing flowers,,in Urdu it's called Gulab Bail. If you really want to buy world's best climbing roses then you can order them on line from David and Austin from England.
Hi, I’m really interested in plating climbing roses but it’s winter already (and I’m a complete noob) do you know if it’s possible to do so in winter months ? Here the winter is not very cold so maybe that could help

It's like the narrator has never used the English language before. What's going on??
Exactly. The name Igor is from Ukraine, so he's likely from around there.
