Just got back from my local cinema seeing the new Power Rangers Movie. It was better than I expected and I can certainly see more sequels happening in the future. Fans of the Original TV Series will be proud!
You're either on heavy medication or you're very easily pleased. I've seen every episode of the original mmpr at least a dozen times and I can tell you this movie is worst than the ghostbusters reboot. In fact if you watch this power rangers movie, it makes ghostbusters look good! The thumbnail of this video sums up the movie perfectly, original rangers doing a signature staple from the original series which helped define the brand - which is nowhere to be seen in the whole movie. Shallow characters, poor cgi and a predictable plot line. The movie is further sent in to the pits of crap when you see the massive plug for Krispy Kreme. Why?

It's hardly perfect, or Oscar material, but you'd never expect that from these types of films, nor is that the point of them. The movie is meant to be a nostalgia-fueled, guilty pleasure-laced fun ride. As for Krispy Kreme, i'm not an american, so i didn't get the refferece, although i was LMAFO at the city going to hell and Rita quietly eating a donut.

My kids just started watching the power rangers, the originals that i used to watch as a kid in the 90s. We dug out my husband's power ranger toys and the kids are enjoying them. Awesome show with awesome actors! God bless yall
That last picture really does speak a thousand words and tells us ALOT. The wife and daughter in the car dressed up in full glam waiting for JD. WTF is going on with Amy Jo? Showing up to the premier in jeans?!?!?! She missed the whole point of all the OG's walking the carpet. To take that timeless shot of all of them together to stand the test of time. None of the yellow rangers were invited out of respect for Thuy Trang and Amy goes and takes a great opportunity like that for granted. Unless she had second thoughts on attending because she can't deal with the awkwardness of that bad history, but then why do the film.
It felt really good to finally see ASJ and JDF together again, but I'ma be honest. Their interaction seemed a little standoff-ish to me. Just based off some of the pictures I've seen and watching this video, some things were a little off.

I am loving these videos JDF! I am one of your biggest fans from when I was a kid... You are the O.G. ORIGINAL GREEN RANGER... But, I MUST say, my all time, and I mean ALL TIME, favorite episode of the original Power Rangers, was when you became the White Ranger man! That had to be the coolest thing, besides getting out of Rita's spell to begin with. You are THE BEST JDF! Is there ANY POSSIBILITY in a shout out for a few of us?
