Tim, your endorsement of the Monkey Beaver Climber Saddle with suspenders will help many climbers be less fatigued when climbing and cutting. The bright orange and black sure looks very professional. Blessings to you.
I’ve got the 1.0. It has been a Godsend for my back. It’s by far the best and most comfortable saddle I’ve ever had since 1993. I hope you enjoy it and it gives you years of good service.
That's a nice saddle Tim! I have three saddles, a Petzl Sequoia, Weaver cougar, and the old Monkey Beaver. Whenever I have to be in a tree for more than an hour, always reach for the Monkey Beaver. I added a CT Rollnlock like Richard Mumford for an adjustable bridge.
The short riprap video. I saw a nearby riprap ditch (swale) not succeed twice before they got it right the third time by concreting some larger/ heavier anchor rocks together at the bottom. They also used wire mesh (gabion basket?) for a short section above the concreted rocks.
I wanted to comment that you’re getting a little long in the tooth for this tree climbing, but you seem to really like it and it’s a new adventure. Be careful.

How long have you been climbing and do you still use Proto helmets.
How long have you been doing tree work ?
Do those shoulder straps rub your neck much?
How much did it cost
Under a thousand
