Great review Bryan. I love the puns and Dad jokes, I added them to my arsenal for my kids and grandkids. This printer is ambitious for it's price and I am rooting for Sovol to fix and refine all the issues for it. Once all the those are fixed I think this will be a great printer for even a beginner.

i feel you didnt go over the entire Voron aspect of this printer. but i guess this was a review of the printer itself, but the ecosystem its a part of is worth mentioning.

Totally agree on the noise part. Sovol is supposed to address this issue soon. A new fan motor or better shield design for the bottom fan? A Noctua would be very nice.

I was looking forward to your look at the SV08. Of course, you did not disappoint!

Thanks, Bryan, for yet another thorough and punny review! I got bit by the Klipper bug when I got my SV07. I've since Klipperized my SV06 using the official Sovol screen, but then upgraded my Ender 3 V3 SE and Anycubic Kobra 2 using a single Raspberry Pi 3B+ I had lying around, so neither has a working Klipper screen. Is a screen necessary like on the SV08? It would make setting the Z offset a bit easier, but really isn't a complete necessity so I think I can overlook the screen and knob foibles. Am I ready for a Voron 2.4 clone from Sovol? Maybe after it gets refined a bit more and the price drops a bit more, too. I do like the fact that it's open source, unlike the SV07. But when you clone an open source machine (said Voron 2.4), it's contractual.

Thanks Bryan I agree with your assessment. Mine has the same clickwheel quirk, but so did my old printer using the same mini 12864.
It is Very Loud. I changed the controller fan ad at least idle is quiet now. I can live with the cooling noise since it works so nicely.

Thanks for puns and review. I showed your tee shirt to my wife, in the hopes she may let the kids know Father’s Day is coming up.

Thank you Bryan for the video and honest review, pretty much the same likes and dislikes as every other RUclipsr who was given one to review. Having said that, if anyone from Sovol is actually reading the comments, maybe concentrate less on putting these machines in the hands of RUclips content creators and try focusing on correcting these issues and actually getting units into the hands of paying customers who have already paid for their units weeks if not months ago. Thanks again Bryan for another great video, as for you Sovol, maybe start focusing on your paying customers.

It's Klipper, you can alter the macros so that the filament runout sensor triggers a beep (assuming it has a beeper), or you can setup remote notifications so you get a telegram message or similar on your phone. The screen is kind of a non-issue for the same reason; it's Klipper. You're going to connect it to your network and then control it via the web interface. Either that or you care enough about the screen to get one for $50 on Amazon instead of paying the $70-80 Sovol wants for one to replace the crappy one it comes with.
Good review, wish they were shipping the enclosures so I can see what they are charging $150 reviewed. Also wish they were shipping units in the US to all the people who already ordered :P

I was considering a creality K1 before they came came out and had some misc issues. Maybe this will be my next printer instead. Ive wanted to build a voron but the total price for all the components was always a bit more than i was willing to spend.

If you have a companion app installed it will ding your phone if you run out of filament

the question that comes to my mind is: how difficult would it be to modify this printer to use the stealthchanger? The use of belts for the z axis and CAN bus for the toolhead gives one hope for a relatively inexpensive tool changer.
