Hey Frost, why don't you do a commentary card. Explain to people why you were playing the way you are and what your game thought is as you're gaming. 👍🏼
While I recommend watching the whole video to understand the build and how it's meant to be used, I figured I'd collate the information in 1 place for anyone that wants to get this in their game ASAP: Subclass & Exotic: Void Warlock, Ophidian Aspect Child of the Old Gods, Feed the Void Healing Rift, Scatter Grenade Echoes of: Leeching, Vigilance, Obscurity, Dilation Mods: Dynamo, Primary Weapon Targeting x1 or x2 Bolstering Detonation x2, Momentum Transfer Primary Weapon Unflinching x2 or x3 Recuperation, Innervation x2 Reaper, Bomber, Outreach Stats: Mobility T5 Resilience T4 Recovery T10 Discipline T9 Intellect T9 Strength T5
Appreciate it video confused me once he started going into what he also tested but I liked the video a lot it gave the in depth of the testing of the build
Us warlocks who don't play well are considered a rare species, I'm an arc warlock fan because of the emperor palpatine fantasy, hopefully this series evolves to where you make builds with all subclasses that are made for trials 💯
This is a awesome and unique way to really flesh out a build. I like how you went through your thought process on why you chose certain fragments, aspects and weapons
@@stop_this_train8772I mean they are still crazy (Especially with the boots). What manes the super less (competitive) you guess it super cool down and the inconsistency of killing an enemy.
Great idea. Build breakdowns with fun little banter is nice to watch while getting the information intended to put out. Maybe this content is not for everyone but personally I like the calm vibes and spread out information provided. Good one Frost! Hope you keep bringing us new builds with this series.
You’re my favorite destiny pvp content creator. You’re not afraid to try something different and you’re pretty calm and don’t whine about every time you die or make excuses. You just slay the poor bastards that have the misfortune of playing against you. Thanx Frosty.
I have been using it for the last few rotations and I love it, even in three’s! It is easier to utilize in 6’s but I have been finding it very useful in three’s too.
' force mistakes ' 😂.. The ability is gamebreaking bull and should get gutted. I can kill players faster than the goddamn orb and half the time it bugs inside things so you have to leave the area.
i find hand cannons don't work as well with the child - something like an ar, smg or pulse tends to work much better. as far as i can tell it's related to number of hits rather than damage. ~i know nothing about game design and have done zero research so could be very wrong~
I'm a hunter main, I have always struggled with my warlock, this video made my warlocks trials run much easier this weekend! Thank you, I look forward to the next one!
I really liked the full breakdown of what you chose and why. It's cool to hear your perspective and the thought process that went into testing different aspects and fragments. I think the only thing i would ask you do differently in the future is maybe a final loadout graphic to show everything.
Secant filaments are a pretty good choice for this build as well, instant devour when you need it. I’ve been running it for a bit now, it’s a lot of fun
As an arc blink hunter main, i learned my blinky ways from the mighty warlock, i thank you my fellow space wizards. For when i do chose to ride with the locks i always choose the Astrocyte verse and blink into pvp with the darkness of void. ❤
TV has a build with Briarbinds that he was using for awhile and it showed how void warlock can succeed. Love videos like this showing how you can make a build great if you spec into it
Great to see that I am not the only one trying Void Warlock lately. I am a Hunter Main but play all 3 classes and Void is Very Strong. Keep up the good work
I’m not sure how relevant this is or if it’s even worth it, but as a new pvp player one of my biggest issues was figuring out what weapons are competitive in what ranges and lanes on maps and so on. I’d be interested to know if there are any lanes you like to push with certain weapons if that makes sense on most trials maps
I started playing builds other than well, it’s been fun and refreshing. Can’t find a solid stasis build and void didn’t seem impactful anymore but maybe I’m not looking at it properly
Fr... I'm certainly not a constant visitor at the lighthouse but the times I made my way there (solo Q) I was on void lock. Makes 1v3ing much easier imo.
Great vid frost. The only reason I main solar though is because of the movement. When I try other subclasses on warlock I feel so slow and find myself over extending
I feel like everyone knows that solar and stasis warlocks have their strengths, and arc warlock mainly hinges off the slide melee, but void and strand warlock are so underrated
Just a suggestion, perhaps include 2 example weapon loadouts. I know you can use pretty much anything with anything these days, but throwing in a 20 second segment can help people understand the flow and pace you have in mind for the build before trying out their own ideas. Love that youre trying new stuff!
Loving this kind of content. If I could offer one piece of critique though is when you're doing the talking head recording give yourself a few seconds of just looking into the camera after reading the lines. This gives you a bit more leeway when making a cut and we wont see you looking down at your keyboard/mouse to stop the recording. It's a small detail but it can help making it look more professional.
About two months ago I was recommended a RUclipsr who is 73 years old and he plays pvp. He obviously isn't the best due to age, but he gets some very decent results at times never takes off voidlock. He basically tries to get as much as he can with the least effort. He is also fkn hilarious
i loves this build i wanna see how this series will go i still think stasis is the best pvp option for warlock but i will absolutely try this build out
What’s great about child of the old gods. Every tick of draining your enemies grants you grenade and melee energy while rocking healing rift. I keep forgetting how great voidwalker is.
in all honesty i still think blink with astrocyte verse is the way to go and in final shape i'm going for an exotic bond with astrocyte and tsteps for massive speed
I like running a void primary with nezeracs’s sin allows me to have a super when i need it to counter well or bubble while also getting my abilities faster then them
Tbh as warlock main too me the best classes are in my opinion stasis number 1 but that’s purely only if you play ability based like I have triple 90 rec, dis, strength and use karnstein army’s to stay in fights longer, 2nd is arc only if you run some sort of amplified build, I use getaway artist and equip flash bang nade and with mods and triple 90 stats I become amplified every 45 seconds, third for me is void tied with solar only if you blink with verse and high mobility, strand is nice I like using grapple and weave walker builds are cool but just not consistent for me. As warlock if you want to play it competitively you need too either freeze the hella out of people or crutch into some way to make you fast and you need your ability’s to do so, solar is nice right you can crutch the well in comp or trials in zone game modes only to probably get missled and dawn blade is alright I guess but sucks compared to other roming supers, rift compared to void titan who basically gives everyone over shield faster than you heal sucks or someone running healing nades or a hunter with healing doge , rift just pales in comparison. The signal doge is viable but giving over your nade sucks so you can have 2, also as warlock I think shut down supers are just more viable unless is stasis or nova warp.stasis cancel out bubbles as long as you have your ability’s, chaos reach kills bubble and well etc. nova warp and blinking across the map with Astrocyte verse is atrocious in 6v6 and 3v3 and you can stop a well easier to stop a bubble tho, and as long you have okay int you’ll get your super same time as anyone else and definitely atleast toward mid- end of the game, hopefully prismatic can bring some more competitiveness to warlock
Frost u exposing us void warlocks, but great video. I switched to void after watching some of your gameplay. With the void abilities i get many more kills which just helps me to get super first and shut down wells/bubbles. Void is indeed slept on
There are tons of videos about void warlock, even from him. This is not his 1st one. I have been using void warlock since release on paper it sounds good. But in gameplay, just don't happen in pvp. We need the consistency in a fight child doesn't work that much when it does it amazing. But it is very easy to counter you need to play with it or it pointless. Example 1v1 it strong, and res control it decent, but when you get to the more competitive games, it just doesn't work that well because it gets destroyed right away because team play the clutch moments it can do work this class is focused on your skill. It not free this and free kill Void warlock shines because shatter gernade. Another perfect example void titan can do everything, but 2 level up. Void warlock special because of child and shatter gernade to give full hp on kill
Twas an honor to fight you that weekend. I was the shoulder charger that got you twice 😅 yall stomped us though. Cybers name is in the video and she was so excited in our discord. We appreciate you alot and thanks for the video! Ggs as always whenever we match hope to play again soon!

You’re not rare
Frost, please continue this series. It's really nice to hear your insight and viewpoint behind why a certain playstyle is good/works
When you're already a voidlock main using blink for years, that intro had me like "huh?"

Secant filaments are hitting different right now with the increased primary play too. So good for clutching up
that full heal and devour on demand is just so good
Soooo true. I swapped from full time strand lock to this (threadling nerf hit us so hard). I love it
@@stop_this_train8772I mean they are still crazy (Especially with the boots). What manes the super less (competitive) you guess it super cool down and the inconsistency of killing an enemy.

Not sure if Frost mentioned it or not but child also gives ability energy while it is draining enemies when you're on a healing rift.
