I was also one among the crowd. It was a total failure on the part of the State Government. Policemen who were on duty mainly took care of the VIPs. Neither proper drinking facilities nor medical aid for the needy people. No volunteers were available at any place in the crowd. I saw people faint one after another mainly due to scorching heat and large gatherings of people without giving space. Irrespective of the caste, people from all walks of life were affected. After the fair, no shuttle buses were arranged to the railway stations, and the people used to walk from Marina Beach to LIC and other railway stations where thousands gathered to take tickets for further journeys. The court should order an inquiry commission to investigate for a detailed report.
Police are simply sitting safely only the public are affected on help from police more people suffered without water 😢

Party's spend lakhs/crores of money for their partys maanadu..a simple solution for yesterday's tragedy..100s of hotspot with water tank lorry supply drinking water - keep refill the lorry(a seperate road lane for refill it).it would have cost 10 to 20 lakhs money..even govt neednt spend ..many many VIP r thr to take care of the expenses but govt has to permit them with out doing sticker politics in it.. kindly take care people life too - dont play with it..
