- The Canadian police have arrested three Indian nationals for the murder of Khalistan separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
The suspects had been living in Canada as non-permanent residents. The three are reported to have played different roles as shooters, drivers and spotters on the day Nijjar was killed at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey in British Columbia. "We're investigating their ties, if any, to the Indian government," Mandeep Mooker, an RCMP superintendent, told a televised news conference.

This news may have positive impact in Canada for votebank, but in India people take it as a cheap political stand by Canadian ruling party to gain sympathy of separatist group of Indian origin. Some of them are fugitive from India after committing serious crimes. Why don't Canada donate a Khalistan land in Canada. It is shameful that Canadian government supports a terrorist group who disgraced India on 26th January at Red fort, the Republic day of the country.
In Canada behaves in this way, soon they themselves will become victim of terrorism like what happened in France, UK and Germany.
As far as Canada is concerned, Nijjar was a Canadian citizen who got assassinated by agents of a foreign power. The charges of terrorism made by Indian govt against him has not been proven in Canadian courts. This is about rule of law here. When Indian govt goes about assassinating a citizen of a foreign nation in their land (and especially in the West where govts have to answer for the life and safety of their citizens), it should be prepared to face the consequences. What would Indian govt say if Canadian spy agency assassinated an Indian citizen on Indian soil?
