Hey guys, welcome to Ravin' Reviews. Today we’re reviewing another excellent PC monitor. This time it’s the Dell S2721NX monitor, designed with best in class tech for home office spaces/work spaces/ and gamers alike. So, let's get right into the video. This Dell monitor comes with built-in dual HDMI ports, allowing you the freedom to effortlessly switch between streaming and console gaming. The added freedom is very nice since it makes reaching around and fiddling with cables all the time a distant memory When it comes to connectivity options, this monitor has one security lock slot, a power connector, three HDMI 1.4 ports, and a single audio line out port. Out of the box you get the power cable and a single HDMI 1.4 cable to get you up and running. The menu Dell designed makes set-up a breeze, and setting up the silvery plastic stand takes only a few moments and a few screws. Adjusting settings in real time is no challenge at all, and even setting up the monitor is really easy due to Dell’s intention to make this an option for everyone, even those of us that aren’t the most tech savvy. The design of the monitor is minimalistic without being clunky, and this only adds to the thought that this is a classy, sleek monitor that works well for any purpose in any setting.The monitor contains In-plane switching, or IPS for short, which allows for you to watch the monitor from almost anywhere in the room without sacrificing picture quality. This Dell has a 178 degree viewing angle, and the IPS screen also stabilizes the color of your monitor to help ensure a consistently vibrant watching experience. The glossy display also helps the colors to pop on screen, and looks even better in a darker environment. The IPS monitor goes great with the tilt function, since you won’t have to sacrifice your viewing experience for comfort or a more dynamic setup. The tilt and IPS also encourage users to play around with their set-up, especially if you’re looking to use this relatively large monitor from gaming or watching sports or movies for extended periods of time. This Dell monitor supports around 72% of the NTSC color gamut, which translates to around 99% sRGB coverage. The monitor has 250 nits of brightness, and If you’re looking to game on it, that’s definitely an option with the S2721NX. The default setting for the monitor has roughly 8 milliseconds for response time, while the fast setting cuts that down to about 4 or 5 milliseconds, which allows it to hold its own as a reasonable gaming pick. Whether you’re gaming professionally or just to relieve some stress, superior display quality is imperative when it comes to monitors. The Dell S2721NX comes with AMD FreeSync Technology, which will provide a smoother experience no matter how intensive the experience. The FreeSync tech helps minimize screen-tearing and artifacting, as well as lowering latency quite a bit compared to monitors without the feature. The monitor also utilizes ComfortView, a feature that limits harmful blue light emissions and makes it very easy on the eyes after extended use.
