    Introduction
Welcome to AutoCAD Electrical. This course is for students with knowledge of electrical components, their symbols, and electrical terminologies.
    Lesson Overview
This lesson covers inserting source and destination arrows to wires, creating virtual connections between unconnected wires, either within the same drawing or across different drawings.
    Inserting Arrows
Go to Symmetric Insert Wires and Wire Numbers. Options include Source Arrow, Destination Arrow, When in Source, When Out Destination, and Reference Only Arrows.
Source arrows can link to multiple destinations, but destinations can connect to only one source. Codes must match exactly.
    Example Process
Click "Add Source Arrow" and select the wire. Enter the wire's code e.g., 220 VAC and description e.g., Power supply.
Source and destination codes can be picked from the drawing or project.
Choose signal arrow style and insert the source arrow.
Insert matching destination arrow, specifying values like location e.g., B1 power supply.
    Wire Numbers
Insert wire numbers to ensure both wires connected by source and destination arrows have the same number.
Update wire numbers as needed. The X reference indicates the drawing reference.
    Directional Insertion:
Source and destination arrows can be inserted in four directions positive/negative X and Y axes, each direction labeled accordingly.
Arrow styles are selectable e.g., S1, S2 for source directions.
    Updating and Removing Arrows
Insert and update wire numbers and arrows as necessary.
Erase components carefully to avoid deleting wires. Use erase commands appropriately.
    Ladder Diagram Integration
Combine circuits in ladder diagrams by inserting source and destination arrows.
Update wire numbers and X references for proper connections.
    Cross-Drawing Connections
Connect source and destination arrows across different drawings, ensuring wire layers and colors match.
Source can connect to multiple destinations, but destinations cannot connect to multiple sources.
    Troubleshooting
Ensure X reference values and wire numbers are updated.
Handle issues with non-updated values by re-inserting source and destination arrows.
    Practical Applications
Use these techniques to create accurate and connected electrical diagrams in AutoCAD Electrical.
