guys i didn’t feel the need to say this again but there’s been some offended? people in the comments, so here’s some things i wanna clear up:
-this was made only to make fun of glee’s inconsistent writing looking it from the characters perspective
i know they recasted rachel’s dads but it’s just kinda funny to think about that contradiction inside the show
-or finn’s audition, i know he didn’t know mr schue was listening to him (even though he did tell him later but he obviously could’ve forgotten about what he was singing) but the grease song wasn’t exactly an audition neither and more of a rehearsal, finn was basically forced to enter the club so he didn’t really auditioned, i added that one because mr schue discovered his talent through him singing that song, which make him wanna have finn in the club, so it’s the closest thing to an audition
-i know that these are just bad or inconsistent writing i even said it was probably just glee contradicting itself rather than blaming on the characters (which is basically the same thing but i understand if people think i’m attacking the characters or something)
-this also doesn’t mean anything against the show you all know we love this show even if it was questionable at times
-this wasn’t serious at all just made for fun :)
i’ve also been considering making a part 2 but i’m kinda scared for all people emphasizing what was wrong hahah i’m sorry if it’s too dramatic i just don’t want to share any wrong perception in general because i literally make these videos as a coping mechanism to feel better myself since i love editing (not that i’m the best at but i’m improving) and glee’s my comfort show, and i wanna share what i love doing with other people so of course i appreciate positivity a lot but i understand they’re not perfect so i do appreciate comments on things i need to improve too, anyways i’m rlly awkward but i wanted to clear some things up so thank you if you read all of this, love you❤️

the strangest plot hole to me is that rachel's mom "left" her even tho she was literally a surrogate and she was paid to do so🧍♀️

my fav plot hole is when santana says her dad is a doctor and she has a lot of money but then says she’s from lima heights adjacent, the wrong side of town lol
i don't think we ever saw her dad, maybe her parents were divorced or something. though more likely its just inconsistent writing lmaoooooo

We don't know if there ever was a bad side of town in Lima. I think Santana said she was from a poor area to seem cooler. If anything that just maybe were her grandmother lived.
Note the ‘adjacent’ I feel like Santana lives in a part of town that’s not necessarily bad, but is near the bad part of town.
I mean she lives with her grandma so her parents might live in a more wealthy part of town

there's also when rachel says in the mattress episode "aside from nudity and exploiting animals ill do pretty much anything to break into the business" but then later on when she moves to new york she was prepared to go topless in a student film AND used that dog shelter to make people like her 👀
ok but tbf getting dogs adopted isn’t cruelty, and she argued that topless wasn’t full nudity so didn’t count, but santana and quinn argued it would be considered nudity and follow her around and then she didn’t do it

I mean that kinda makes sense to me, when she moved to NY she changed and she wasn't the person she was in high school anymore. Maybe those specific events weren't totally intentional, but in my opinion it still makes sense for the plotline.
Honestly, we weren’t here for cohesive narrative. We were here because this show and everyone who wrote it were on crack and that’s why it was funny

@@littlxbee9233 I know that and it's obviously completely valid, the thing is that the writers were def not planning that when they introduced Bestie's character and just pulled it out of their butt till like season 5 or 6 (at first i honestly just assumed they added it bc the actor themselves came out as trans so i didn't mind, i was wrong lol) which completely ended up contradicting the entirety of the character's original identity and plotline 🤔 most of the problem is that it kinda invalidated the message they tried to send (it's like making Disney Mulan's character come out as a trans man all along, it just misses the point)

Finn contradicts everything he says in one episode he will say something heroic like we need to accept anyone no matter their weight or something and then say stop eating your so fat. That's an example I made up on the spot but yeah he annoys me

To be fair Blaine was probably way too drunk to remember that party.
Still would have been a conscious choice to go out without any hair gel before getting there. For someone who "always wears hair gel" a day where you consciously decide against using hair gel would stand out. But yeah.. The amount of hair gel (or rather fucking glue) they put in his hair was ridiculous

Out of all the fights that have been on the show, she gets suspended when Finn deserved to get hit. There are countless times when certain characters (jocks) should have been suspended/expelled but weren’t until it became a serious life threatening problem (aka Artie getting pushed over, Kurt getting death threats, the way Unique was treated).
i feel like the the writers of this show just completely deleted the script from their minds as soon as they finished it lmaoooo

No it was not. The other characters never being suspended for the violence, that's the bullshit. No matter what great evil finn did (be it intentional or not) physical violence is cause for a suspension. Like, half of the glee club should have repeated a year because they missed too much classes because they. keep. getting. into. fights.

I think they wrote that joke in the pilot to show how naive Rachel’s character was, but as the series went on they made her less naive so the joke fails in both ways of the recast and establishing her character’s personality
Remember when the show ended an episode with so much emphasis on Quinn having “big plans” for New York and then the very next episode they’re in NYC and NOTHING
SimGM productions spoofed this whole plotline, it was hilarious

The most confusing part about Rachel Berrys black dad is that she mentions having a black dad AGAIN in the season six in the 2009 episode as if we don’t know her dad is Jeff Goldblum
They only did that because everyone pointed out the inconsistently of her having a black dad in season 1. The 2009 episode went back in time to season 1 so it was a callback to that

the ONLY explanation i can think of for rachel's dads changing is if glee was not originally ordered for a full season, meaning that they would have just made the pilot for fox as a pitch to see if they wanted to go ahead with a full season and then when they decided to bring the dads back in season 3 those two original actors didn't want to do it

ok one thing i remembered: sue said on the madonna episode she's been wearing her hair short since age 7, but then in another season there's a flashback of her with long hair. also she once said she didn't have a uterus and then proceeded to have a child, but idk if she was just joking

She referenced having a hysterectomy THREE times in the first season.

Messing around with the ages is what always got me. Jacob Ben Israel interviews Rachel about getting the lead in the musical (first season episode 'Roades Not Taken') Rachel says "in my 16 years of performing ...stars are rare" yet here at this point she is only 14 ...At the beginning of the 4th season Finn is said to be 19 but the school year would have been 2012 Finn's birth year is 1994 this 1994 birth year is confirmed in Quarterback therefore he could not have been 19 until some time in 2013 The Glee Wiki gives Finn's DOB as August 24 1994. The same problem with time goes to Puck November 2, 1994 is Puck's DOB per Wiki. Therefore during season 3 while he is having an underage fling with Shelby Puck was 16 when it started and 17 when it ended. Then there is Blaine. He was supposed to be a junior when we met him in season 2 but somehow Blaine became a sophomore in season three. Kurt's age is a little weird but at least it makes better sense. Kurt's DOB is May 27, 1993 even if it makes a year older than everyone it isn't problematic because we establish Kurt is over 16 because he says his Lincoln Navigator was a present for his sweet 16. He most likely stayed back a year...maybe he started late? Maybe it was losing his mom at 8 and repeating 3rd grade? Who knows. But fast forward to meeting Blaine - Kurt is now two years older than Blaine? And Blaine is his acting mentor?
My headcanon was always Kurt was held back because of his mom's death being too much for him. They really didn't have a solid foundation with the other characters ages. We only completely knows Kurt because it's shown on the NYADA application.

honestly, i feel bad for tina. she was poorly written and deserved a better character arc than "only likes gay men".
also i think blaine is a closeted bisexual whose attraction to women is shunned by his boyfriend because he believes bisexuality is a phase. anyway.
She didn’t only like gay men. She dated both Artie and Mike. In fact, her relationship with Mike was probably the only healthy relationship in the entire show, unless you count Burt and Carole.

He actually He didn't audition with that song, because that video is from when Mr. Shue sees him in the locker room, but in that episode Finn sings you're the one that I want together with Rachel, that's why in the fourth season when the second generation of Glee does "Grease" there are flashbacks of Finn's audition

Santana getting into trouble for slapping someone was the only time someone got suspended for fighting in the show. It was so harsh... It would make more sense if Rachel got into a fight with her or something but not that.
Exactly! Out of all the fights that have been on the show, she gets suspended when Finn deserved to get hit. There are countless times when certain characters (jocks) should have been suspended/expelled but weren’t until it became a serious life threatening problem (aka Artie getting pushed over, Kirt getting death threats, the way Unique was treated).

To be fair Finn literally didn’t know that Schue heard him in the shower. His official audition WAS “you’re the one that I want” with the whole club. Everything is incredibly inconsistent though.
Finn's audition (to him) was technically from Grease. Schuester creepily heard him in the showers but according to Finn, the first time he sang in front of Mr Schue was "You're the one that I want". Unless I missed something

My least favorite plot hole is why Sues hair is short. She said it was because something happened with her sister when she was younger, and she had to keep her hair short ever since. But, she says that she cut her hair short to look more intimidating when she started teaching
