- Welcome back to my green oasis, where I dive deep into the world of houseplants and uncover the secrets to keeping your indoor jungle thriving, even through the challenges of winter and the absence of a green thumb. Today, I'm thrilled to bring you along for an exclusive tour of my plant room, sharing the latest updates on how my beloved plants have fared during my 2.5-week holiday.
As we step into this lush sanctuary, you'll witness firsthand the resilience and surprising growth of some of my favorite plants, despite the cold grip of winter outside. From flourishing foliage to unexpected setbacks, this tour is a testament to the unpredictable journey of plant care.
However, not all tales from the jungle are of triumph. We'll delve into the darker side of plant care as I reveal some of the challenges my plants have faced in my absence. Miscommunication with the caretaker led to some watering mishaps, setting the stage for the dreaded root rot. Join me as we explore the signs, the prevention, and the potential solutions to this common yet feared plant ailment.
But it's not all gloom and doom. Amidst the challenges, there are stories of success and resilience. From the robust growth of my large plants to the delicate balance of caring for our my and unusual tropicals, each plant has its own tale of survival and triumph.
And because sharing is caring, don't miss out on my exclusive plant giveaway! It's my way of saying thank you to this amazing community and sharing a piece of my plant paradise with you.
I also want to engage with you directly. Towards the end of this tour, I have a question for you, my awesome viewers, which I hope will spark a lively discussion in the comments below. Your insights and experiences are invaluable, and together, we can continue to grow our knowledge and our plant collections.
Before we wrap up, let's not forget about our rare gems, like the Colocasia and the enigmatic Epipremnum. These species not only add exotic flair to our collections but also embody the beauty and complexity of tropical plant care.
So, whether you're a seasoned plant parent or a newcomer enchanted by the world of indoor gardening, this video is packed with insights, tips, and real-life experiences to help you navigate the joys and challenges of keeping your plants thriving.

Thanks, Carey! Definitely, Mum's plants and more are on the agenda. Your support is incredible, and I'm hopeful for the plants' recovery. 🌱😊

I'm delighted by your interest! Garden and veggie videos are coming, alongside more plant tours. It's always exciting to share the green love. 🌱🍅
Thank you for your honest update on some of your plants after returning home. I think we all have the same experience. Part 2 would be great and I'm personally really looking forward to seeing your videos from Greece.
Really appreciate your understanding, Terri. I'm also excited for the videos from Greece. Part 2 is on its way! 🌱✈️
Part 2 : yes! Veggie garden : yes! 😊
Yes to both! Veggie garden and Part 2 are coming. 😊🌱
Welcome home! Can’t wait to see your mom’s plants! I’m hoping she will make a quick cameo appearance even though you said she doesn’t want to. Either way hi mom! 🙋♀️. So love my Anthuriun nigrolaminum “Gigi”. One of my favorites and so easy.
Thanks! I'll try to coax Mom into a cameo for the next one, this one she was a bit too shy. 😊 And yay for loving your Anthurium nigrolaminum "Gigi"! 🌱💚 Part 2 is coming!
I love to see plant tours and always look forward to your videos, would love a part 2. I’ve just bought my first 2 anthuriums for my birthday next week after seeing them in your collection and am really looking forward to watching them grow. I bought an A.pedatum and an A.vittarifolium
Thank you so much, Susan! 🌱 A part 2 is definitely on the cards. Thrilled you got A.pedatum and A.vittarifolium - they're such beauties! Happy early birthday, and I can't wait to hear how they thrive for you. 🎉🌿
Welcome back Memo 😀 Looking forward to the new videos coming out 😀🇨🇦
Thanks Linda! Excited for what's ahead and glad you're here for the journey. 🌱
Welcome back & hope your plants dry out soon. Pt 2 vegi garden with houseplants would be awesome. Thanks for sharing Memo!
Congratulations on Esmeraldense blooming again 🥰
Will be looking forward to seeing your mother´s garden etc. 🙂
When you said that reservoirs were so full, my jaw dropped and I froze - omg, you are so calm. I hope at least most of the plants will be eventually ok 🍀🍀🍀
I´d definitely be interested in your allotment journey and growing veggies :-)
Thanks so much! 🥰 Excited to share more, especially about the allotment journey. Keeping calm and hoping for the best with the plants. 🍀
Hello! You've been missed 😊.
Love to see updates on your allotment, and the 🐔 s. 😄
Missed you all too! Updates on the allotment and chickens are coming. Thanks for sticking around. 😄🌱🐔
“You might be able to see”…if you heard it once you can’t unhear it again 😂😂
Thank you for being amazing
Your support means the world to me. Thank you for being such a fantastic part of our community. 🌟
So sorry to hear about your plants. I use paper towels to sit soaked plants on to draw out the water. Went through this when I went home for holidays an had just imported anthuriums, needless to say their leafless chunks now. 🤣😂 Good luck with the recovery an a second part would be awesome! 🫶🏼💚
Thank you, Sherry! 😂 Paper towels are a great tip. Sorry to hear about your anthuriums; here's to their recovery and a part 2! 🫶🏼💚
Yes on the garden plants🎉
Yes! Garden plants are on the agenda. 🎉🌿
Awesome! Looking forward to the next video for sure.
Hey Memo, half way through with the video, want to leave a quick remark about your overwatering problem: I would take all of the plants out of their decorative pots so the air can circulate a bit better around the roots. It can also help to put some tissue paper underneath to soak up some of the moisture. That won’t take too much time and might help them to recover a little faster. Good luck, I hope all of them are going to make it!!
Great advice, Maika! I'll try airing out and using tissue paper for moisture control. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. 🌱🤞
Waiting patiently for part 2
Part 2 is in the making! Thanks for your patience. 🌱
I would love a cutting of the dark lord! Just getting into philodendron, the boyfriend has given up on his plants and have now got a baby Florida ghost. I cant imagine how frustrating the overwateing is when you have as many plants as you do! Good luck 🤞
Thanks, Luis! A cutting of the Dark Lord might be arranged, drop me a DM on Instagram this week and we can discuss logistics. 😉 Overwatering is a challenge, but we learn and grow. Good luck with your Florida ghost! 🍀
youre my favorite plant-tuber
Part 2 yes!
Part 2 is a definite yes! Stay tuned. 🌱✌️
yes !!! please do a gardening video
So funny and also heartbreaking about the overwatering problem! If only that were how it works, you could have filled them up and not needed someone to come in at all! I hope they recover alright. I can see myself doing something like that a couple years ago. We all know what we know, and we don’t know until someone tells us.
So true, Mandy! If only it was that simple. 😅 Here's to learning and growing together. Hope they bounce back soon! 🌿💚
I would like to see a video about your new moss poles, please.
Absolutely, @reginatebow57 ! A video on my new moss poles is in the works. Can't wait to share how they're transforming my plant space. Stay tuned! 🌱👀
Hi Memo! Always a treat to see your videos ❤️❤️❤️
I'm also in the UK. Would it be possible to have a cutting of your florida ghost please? I am confident about getting rid of mealies so if it's possible to get a cutting please then I would absolutely be delighted!
Hi Memo, I like your idea for a „hybrid” moss pole
Appreciate it, @Gaara-zu3ev ! The "hybrid" moss pole idea seems promising, right? Can't wait to show it off. 🌿👌
Your plants are so beautiful, but I gotta admit the only thing I'm going to hurry to buy are yellow crocs. I love this colour so much 🥰
Yes show us how to make the poles
You got it! DIY moss pole tutorial coming soon. 🌱🛠️
Would love a piece of the dark Lord 😊
Oh drop me a DM on instagram and lets talk more on the logistics. 😊🌱
Ahh el misterio de los potos !???!!! ..... creo que este comportamiento forma parte de su adn 🤣🤣😂. 💌
