If this happens in Hard Mode after the game over screen you'll play as Kris instead of Frisk and everything will be the same as normal mode, except the player's name will still be Frisk.
Would've been hilarious, but also ooc/against the lore of Deltarune since Susie doesn't know the world is just a game and that we the player exist, only Kris, Ralsei and maybe Spamton know (I dunno if there are others that know, these are just the most obvious ones and the ones I can remember atm).
@@eh2587 Because he tells you to press certain buttons like [Z] or [X], while Susie gets confused when he says that, at the first RK puzzle at the spiky gate. Not to mention that he is aware of the battle layout, like the big orange bar (TP) and the white rectangle when you fight. There may be a few NPCs like the jigsaw guys that are somewhat aware of the battle layout, mostly TP, but Ralsei doesn't only talk to Kris, he often also directs his words at us, like when telling us to go to the old classroom and gather up everything - which we still have yet to know how he knows, but he knows enough to instruct us. Plus, after the Spamton NEO fight, when Ralsei and Susie notice Kris is upset (don't remember if when you say no or yes), Ralsei tells Kris "Don't think too much about it," as if he knows why Kris is upset about the Spamton fight. And whenever Ralsei tells Kris/us to "close your eyes", the screen goes black, we see what Susie is doing, and when we return to Ralsei and Kris, Ralsei says "...and that's why, Kris." Like he told Kris something that we're not supposed to hear. I am 100% certain that Ralsei knows about our existence as the player, and perhaps even that their world is just a game.

Oooh, I saw Merg play and get the Chapter 1 Game Over from Kris, but he did not do it for Chapter 2, having learned his lesson from chapter 1, so this was interesting to see. Really cool to see Kris with more dialogue than the little bit they have in Hard Mode (I think "Yes." and "...What?" was all they said?).
i wish the dialogue would change for that scene where you make noelle freeze the cultists if you did a snowgrave route in chapter 2 of deltarune. idk if it would be possible but it would be very cool
You probably already solved your issue but always pay attention to the jingles, if an abortion jingle plays that means you missed something and need to reload the save file

actually that was a bug that was fixed in a later patch of section 2 i think

There is more dialogue if you do the obliteration route with kris, plus a new expression
